After reading all of the negative reviews I am so deeply shocked. Dr. Lenz is the most caring person I have ever met, he felt like family. I was checked in to Scripps Memorial hospital on Monday afternoon with a pain in my abdomen, next morning I met Dr. Lenz, turned out I had Acute liver failure. Dr. Lenz made sure I was admitted to Green hospital an hour later and likely saved my life.

Dr. Lenz was very professional and to the pint. His assistant Van Lodes is also just as professional and helped me getting my appointment in a timely manner. I no longer see Dr. Lenz due to relocation, however my issues were unfortunately un resolved when I was his patient.

After reading these negative reviews I was happily surprised to find that I liked Dr. Lenz. He’s extremely professional & does not spend time chit chatting about the weather. If you want someone warm & fuzzy he’s not for you. What I like about him is that he gets right to the point & isn’t wishy washy. I needed an endoscopy & he didn’t suggest that I get a colonoscopy since I was already going to be in there. If he was just trying to make money he would have. Btw my stomach feels great now, his recommended meds healed it. I would not hesitate to recommend him to my friends or family. A Scripps patient.

Dr Lenz is very professional. His bedside manner is very calm and almost stern, but that is ok. I want a doctor who takes everything seriously. Have seen him several times. Highly recommend...

Has the personality of a mean pitbull that has never been loved.

Staff is very pleasant, his office is clean and very well furnished. I normally do not write reviews. But I must write about this physician. I spent less than 5 minutes with this man, and it was the longest 5 minutes. We did the Q&A, but I suppose my responses were unsavory, as I was seeing him rolling his eyes and degrading my answers. Please be careful with this doctor. There's a lack of patient courtesy with this doctor.

Terrible bedside manner! So rude & arrogant. Does not care or want to figure out what could be wrong but only doing the procedure to get PAID. Shame on Scripps for allowing this doc to practice under their name.

Dr Lenz's arrogance outweighs his skill set. Without examining his patients and sounding less than three minutes in a history which consists of only him asking questions off a Pre-set list of questions he confirms a diagnosis. He is rude, petulant, and completely unprofessional when a patient questions him in any way trying to understand their illness. I have several friends who have seen him as well as myself and it is also clear he distinctly does not respect women patients. Do not see this dr. Their are many more talented and professional doctors out there.
