Dr. Helen Khalafbeigi, MD

At first Dr.Helen looked maybe a little too serious. But within minutes I found her to be very friendly, open minded, and easy going. I get a lot of urine infections but nobody had bothered to tell me how to prevent them or why they happen. They would just prescribe antibiotics. But she even showed me some educational pictures on her laptop. I felt so at ease that I asked her a few extra questions I always had in mind but were too embarrassed to ask the other doctors. I highly recommend her.

I rarely give reviews on websites, but my purpose is to inform 1. Patients like myself that need a quality doctor and 2. This doctor/her clinic so hopefully she can improve.Here is my review of Dr. Helen:I've seen her twice at a low cost clinic. I found her never spending enough time with me, when she comes in the office room literally (esp on the second visit) kept heading for the door even though I told her I had a list of symptoms to talk about (I was in an accident.)I also shared it was VITAL for her to accurately write things down for the insurance, she did not take notes in my presence. This made me nervous.When I saw her the second time she expressed surprise (or disbelief?) that she saw me limping. I was SHOCKED. That was the main reason I came to see her: my injury.Lastly when I asked about a certain referral for a therapy and the cost she said the first visit was free and then after they charge and she would have someone contact me. After two weeks (and two calls to the… office) the office staff said Dr. Helen neglected to put down the diagnostic code for referral and she just left for vacation.No, I do not recommend this doctor, in all honesty I hope she reads this so she can be aware that these mistakes harm people. I think she is at a low cost clinic because the poor and immigrants probably don't stand up for themselves.Luckily there are others to choose from.

This doctor does not listen, she cuts you short and then she writes wrong things in her notes which go into your record. She makes mistakes in the dosage of prescription drugs. On top of that, her office makes billing mistakes (overcharging) and it takes a long time to have them corrected (they admit they made a mistake but they don't even apologize for all your time wasted). You also have to wait for a long time every time you come there.
