Dr. Helen Seunglim Lee, MD

In my experience, this physician does not practice patient-centered or shared decision-making care. She presented a single plan and expected compliance, while minimizing or selectively sharing information that did not support her recommendation. I felt rushed and pressured, with little regard for my concerns or preferences. Informed consent was not meaningfully obtained, and questions about my own care were discouraged and framed as “non-compliance.” Her approach felt outdated and not aligned with modern, evidence-based obstetric practice. The focus appeared to be on efficiency and timelines rather than individualized care and safety for both mother and baby. Bedside manner was poor, and I left the experience feeling unheard, disrespected, and unsafe. This was the most distressing medical experience I have had, and I would not return.

Not confident in this Dr. dude to lack of bedside manner. This makes me think she really doesn’t care. No lead up to bad news, no asking if I had questions. I felt completely alone and thrown to the side as she rushed both appts. Both times I felt more scared when I left than when I came in.

I think these other reviews might be talking about a different doctor, because I’ve had a wonderful experience. My primary care physician recommended her almost 7 years ago, and over the years I have referred many friends and co workers, and they also love her. I understand if somebody doesn’t like their doctor’s personality (this is true no matter who the doctor is), but I don’t think anybody would question Dr. Lee’s skill as a physician. One of my friends (a physician) is also a patient of Dr. Lee, and thinks that Dr. Lee is one of the best OBGYNs in the area.

Horrible doctor, worst bedside manner ever.

Maybe the perfect doctor for someone who has already had a child but if you are going to be a first time mother she may not be the best. She did not give enough information throughout the pregnancy. I was fully dilated before 3 pm and she didn't show up until after 5 pm.

She is the worst doctor I've ever been to! I'm shocked she is still employed at McDonald Murmann. She has the worst bedside manner, she does not care about patients, and she did not properly treat me during my pregnancy or the birth of my baby. She didn't answer her cellphone when my baby was ready to come and the nurses were frantic. She didn't refer me to another doctor to deliver the baby....she made me wait 2 hours while the baby was in the birth canal ready to go. I was on O2 because she didn't come in time. My baby was blue when born, not breathing or responsive, low apgar score, and had a huge hematoma on it's head for 6 weeks because of the birth trauma she caused! I found out later that she did not follow practice protocol during my delivery. It is by the Grace of God my child is okay. I changed doctors with my second child and the experience was totally different. I will never recommend dr lee to anyone!

Dr. Lee has been my doctor for several years, and I trust her completely. Most recently I underwent major gyn surgery, and am thrilled with the outcome. She is one of the few doctors in the area who can perform such minimally invasive procedures, which in my case reduced my hospital stay from 3 or 4 days to 1 day. While in the hospital several nurses commented on what a great surgeon she is, and it is normally the nurses who are the best judge of these things. In short, I hope to keep Dr. Lee as my ob/gyn for as long as possible.

I waited over an hour in the waiting room. Then I waited some more in the clinical room. Dr. Lee entered and did not greet me...and she never once looked me in the eye. She was dismissive of my concerns and not especially sensitive about the examination. After the exam I was summarily sent off for blood work. All told I spent a little over 3 hours at this clinic and left crying. I wouldn't recommend Dr. Lee under any circumstance.
