Thank you to those patients who have posted positive reviews. I apologize to the women who did not have a good experience with my practice. My practice philosophy is to provide up-to-date, comprehensive gynecologic care in a warm and friendly environment. It should be noted that there are some errors in my professional profile on this website. I am board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, but my practice is limited to Gynecology only. I am not a Gynecologic Oncologist. I maintain hospital privileges at Clear Lake Regional Medical Center and Bay Area Surgicare. Wishing you good health!

If you’re looking for an excellent female physician/surgeon who is gentle, patient, down-to-earth and very knowledgeable, then go see Dr Rhodes. In pre-op she is very calming and gave me her mobile number to call with any questions after my procedure. I highly recommend her to family and friends.

During the recent scheduling of an appointment, the office manager Destiney Spear demonstrated passive-aggressive behavior in her communication with me instead of employing active listening skills and doing some fact checking. I am well informed and well versed on my health care benefits, as are some other patients. I left a message for Dr. Helen Rhodes to call me so that I could share my unfortunate experience, and after conversing with her for less than 2 minutes about the issue, her final responses to me where "I'm sorry that you felt like you were mistreated" and "I've gotta run - this conversation has gone on for too long". THIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE AND UNEXPECTED BEHAVIOR DEMONSTRATED BY A PROFESSIONAL PHYSICIAN WHOM I HAVE MADE A CONSCIOUS CHOICE TO PATRONIZE AND SUPPORT FOR NEARLY 8 YEARS! When I asked Dr. Rhodes if she could relay the message that I was cancelling my appointment moving forward, she simply hung up the phone in my face. I am highly disappointed in my… experience and I do not recommend that anyone choose a practice where its leadership is setting this kind of example for the treatment of her patients. As advocate for superior health care experiences, I do not in any form or fashion accept being spoken to or handled in such a manner. Consider the possibility of this being your experience as well if you are considering visiting Dr. Helen Rhodes's office as a new or returning patient. I made every effort to handle this in a professional manner and allow Dr. Rhodes the opportunity to address my concerns; instead, she dismissed and defended, made statements indicative of me wasting her time, and she didn't seem the least bit concerned about losing me as a patient after nearly 8 years. While it's very unfortunate to have found out in this manner, I am glad that I now know EXACTLY where I stand at this point in the doctor-patient relationship.

I highly recommend Dr. Rhodes! She is so knowledgeable, actually listens to you, and super nice. Very friendly staff as well.
