Dr. Helen Theresa Shin, MD

After seeing several doctors and trying 3 different steroids came to see her. She was kind and very sweet with my baby. She told me it was something we would have to fight with a different steroid. She was the first doctor to describe to me the actual amount I should use and to prescribe something that actually worked! Follow ups have been quick but more than enough. She changed our lives and we are very thankful.

She doesn’t care who patient is. She just see where has problem and told us to send prescription. I don’t know how she get this fame and all goof recommendations but she is not the person for pediatric doctor.

Dr. Shin is a kind knowledgeable physician. She is a mother and understands children on that level, not just as a doctor. She was quick to properly diagnose my daughter and corrected the issue with a simple solution. Would definitely recommend her to my friends!

She does not have compassions for a child and she has an awful bedside manner. I have an 8 month daughter with an atopic dermatitis. As soon as she saw her, she used a condescending tone on me saying this is the worst it can get and why I haven't kept using steroids on her. I already tried two steroids but nothing worked, so I told her I am against using it. Then, she coldly told me not to come back. I believe that the choices made for their children are totally up to parents. Pediatric doctors should respect parent's decision even if opinions might differ, not being offended when parents would not like to follow their decisions. That's why I would not only come back to her, but would like to warn others who expect to see a "special" pediatric dermatologist, because she simply is not that doctor.

She is the best!

Really 3 months to make an appointment even though child is having terrible rash and bites all over body. The whole front desk staff was rude and didn't care at all about my child's suffering. They didn't even blink an eye. How can a medical office be so heartless. Very disappointing.

Personable, great physician and would recommend her.
