Dr. Helen Elizabeth Stevenson, MD

Absolute unprofessional staff with slow progress, poor communication and rude rude RUDE service. They is no accountability here, the office employees are incorrigible. Someone is ALWAYS out of office, ALWAYS unable to service the day of, ALWAYS demeaning and retaliative when called out on being late or non-communicative. Dr. Stevenson is dry, with no bedside manner to her name, but she is real and consistent and allows the parents to make their own choices. This office does not have modern day payment options while office employees will call repeatedly for payment just to refuse to accept payment because the person who accepts payment is always out of office.

She treats my children always answers all of my question. She has called after hours to check on my children's well being and their improvement. She has offered to see my child even when the office is closed on occasion. I feel she is a excellent doctor.

Staff has always been rude. If you call, either the lines are busy or youre put on hold forever. If you walk in, they get mad and say you need an appointment, which you try to get but can't. You almost never see the doctor, and if you do she says shes busy or on break and it can wait. Luckily the emergency room was more considerate. If we waited on dr Stevenson, both my sisters would not be alive because shes always too busy or never answers then lies about everything, claiming she was never told about an issue or we refuse diagnostic tests. I will never bring my kids to her!!

I have been going there for over 16 years with my son and have never been treated with any disrespect until 6 months ago. Have called 3 different times trying to get appointments for an immunization for my son and have been put on hold for 5 minutes or more each time. Then being told don't have the immunization in stock on first and second call then third call was can't get him in the doctor office for 7 months. REALLY 7 months how ridiculous then got hung up on. No explanation at all. I will be switching asap. I love Dr. Stevenson so much, but her office staff are horrible and rude and not helpful at all. Very very disappointed

Dr.Stevenson is the best doctor in slidell and her staff is also very wonderful

The office staff is ok. The doctor does have a very bad beside manner, is very condescending. Impatient, in a hurry. I'm a nurse too and I find her extremely unfriendly towards parents and children.

Please, be warned that if you choose to go with Dr. Stevenson as your child's pediatrician that you will receive a horrible level of care. After our daughter was checked by a very young nurse that seemed to hardly have any experience (maybe even right out if high school), we met Dr. Stevenson for a grand total of 1 minute. From the time of my daughter's birth until she was 6 months, she NEVER was allowed to see the actual doctor- only whichever nurse happened to be working that day. This is not a very professional office at all. They even noticed something that could be wrong with our daughter, and STILL didn't get Dr. Stevenson to check her out! That was the last straw for me! Switched pediatricians the very next day. BEWARE OF THIS DOCTOR!!

My daughter was a patient 2 yrs ago due to a military move we had to change doctors. we have been trying for 3 yrs to get her records and we are a lost at what to do the staff gives you the run a round when you call they say they have been faxed but her new doctor never recieves them. I have filled out the release form 7x best advice if you move get all records before you leave town

Never going back the Dr has horrible bed side mannor and my daughter felt like she did not listen to her. very uncaring made me feel like I was an unfit mother and she is the one who should not be practicing medicine.
