Dr. Helen Stosel, MD

Former patient who moved to Florida almost 10 years ago. Dr. Stosel is amazing. Florida care is awful.. Not many endocrinologist in Florida and those who aren't full-fledged DOs or MDs

Dr. Stosel is the most compassionate doctor I’ve ever had and she’s changed my life and made it better than I ever thought it would be, being chronically ill. She diagnosed me with things other doctors had missed and found I had thyroid cancer which probably would have taken other doctors years. She gives me a hug after every appointment and is the first doctor who makes me feel like she is genuinely invested in my wellness. Only downside is her office is very hard to get ahold of. Otherwise she’s the best endocrinologist.

Dr. Stosel is a gem! She is very personable and listens to her patients. I have Graves Disease and my last 2 endo's have pushed RAI treatment and I specifically told them I would like to do everything I can to avoid RAI as long as my liver blood tests come back fine. Dr. Stosel was the only one that agreed with me and wanted to treat me based on what I wanted of course with consideration to my blood test results. I have been on PTU (allergic to methimazole) for 7 months now hoping to go into remission. My liver numbers have actually gotten better so that is a plus and a good sign as I can continue on meds. Her bedside manner is an indicator that you are not a number but a human with wants and needs! I highly recommend her.

Dr. Stosel is a patient listener and willing to investigate health concerns beyond basic lab work, as well as experiment with treatment options based on how you respond to them. I wholeheartedly recommend her.

After months of my health declining with my old endocrinologist, I finally decided to see Dr. Stosel and she changed my life. I finally found a doctor that actually listens to me and is compassionate about what I'm going through. She gave me so much of my life back and also gave me hope.

I had been to many doctors before Dr. Stosel. None of them were able to help me. Dr. Stosel took the time to really listen to me and was able to figure out what was going on with me. I feel so much better since I have been under her care.

I have been seeing Dr. Stosel for a few years and she has been very consistent in her care. She takes the time to discuss my results, tells me what I need to do to improve my scores and works with me to maintain a health lifestyle .

Dr. Stosel has been my doctor for a year now. She is the most caring, thorough doctor I have ever had. She spends time listening to my concerns and explains everything in detail. The office is busy but the staff is always friendly and I never feel rushed. I would highly recommend. Doctor Stosel in my opinion is the very best. There is about a 20 minute wait, which is not bad compared with other offices and she apologizes and makes me feel like she values my time. Her office manager Shelley is extremely helpful.

I first have to say that I have a great amount of respect for Dr. Stosel. She is professional, courteous and is very thorough. For her staff, they are very slow to respond to voicemails, they don't document things correctly and really make it a challenge to book appointments. Due to the incompetence of her staff, I will no longer be going to Dr. Stosel. It is a shame because I really like Dr. Stosel. If you change your staff, I would definitely come back.
