Great caring doctor

I had an appointment for 3:30. I was there at 3:08. Someone without an appointment showed up at 3:25 and they took her back first. I waited until 3:52 to be seen. - Had no knowledge on bat bites or rabies, yet decided to see me anyway. Said she never saw a bat bite but what I had didn't look like a bat bite. What? - My concern was about rabies... she said she could refer me to get bloodwork done. What? Read up on rabies if you don't understand my bewilderment and irritation.

Amazing how vindictive people can be, you don’t get your way or something doesn’t happen like you think it should so you get nasty. I am old now, 76, and I have been seeing Doctor Wolfson since she opened, 20 plus years ago. I feel good and am alive because of her. And now have many family members who also see her. If you want to live and feel good go she her. Had my share of Doctors who don’t have a clue or that could figure out what works the best, she may not help on the spot but will get back to you with what will, especially if you are really sick. She has done this with numerous family members after their Doctor didn’t help them feel better, she did, and now they see her when needed. If you are in the hospital, you will come out alive with her at your side, the other Doctors who saw me in the hospital got my medicines screwed up, she figured it out and corrected. I now have multiple chronic problems but I feel good thanks to her. My father-in-law, after numerous cancer… battles, is still alive because of her. Twenty years ago my mother didn’t know what day it was, her medicines were all screwed up, since seeing Doctor Wolfson she reads the paper every day, plays cards with her friends every day and gets out and about. Other family members went to see her, she figured out their issues where no other Doctor could. So pay no heed to the haters, they are probably mindless individuals that don’t have a clue what it takes to be a good doctor. People need to learn to be patient, good doctors help you feel better. Other doctors will listen to you, write you a prescription and then move to the next patient. I have never met a professional as up front, honest and maybe say things she shouldn’t as her, she is brutally honest and will make you feel better if it is what you truly want. If you are pill popper she will be useless for you.

I was hospitalized at Riddle for pancreatitis. My PCP used Dr Wolfson as an attending. She was cold, lacking in empathy and, ultimately, unhelpful. I suffered a gout flareup while in the hospital. Dr Wolfson did not respond to multiple calls from the nursing staff. She also didn't prescribe adequate discharge medication to get me through until I could see my PCP. And now, to add insult to injury, she is billing me for her incompetent services. I never want to be treated by her again, although, come to think of it, she didn't really give me any treatment the first time. If I could give zero stars, I would.

I only placed one star here, because you have to. Dr. Helen Wolfson's office deserves 0 starts. My experience started with my first visit, to what I hoped would be my new primary care doctor. Dr. Wolfson was 45 minutes late to my appointment. The appointment went fine, however she sent me for routine yearly blood work to a location that does not accept my insurance. I had to call her office SEVEN (7) times to finally receive a fax with a script to get blood work completed at a location that accepts my insurance provider. Finally, I went to get blood work completed over 1 month and 1 week ago. I had to call Dr. Wolfson's office FIVE (5) times to find out that they misplaced my blood work results and would upload them to me. They finally sent my blood work results to my email and I have yet to receive a telephone call from the doctor regarding my results. I found out today that they have been calling and leaving voicemails for me at the WRONG number, despite proving my telephone number… to them multiple times. Please, please save yourself the frustration from having to repeatedly call and check in with this doctor to receive simple information. It is not worth the aggravation. From the level of service at Dr. Wolfson's office and the incompetence of her staff, I don't think she even wants to see new patients or any patients for that matter!

If you want to live and feel good go see her. I have many issues and no one was able to help. After a few visits with her my problems have been much better. Other Doctors had me on drugs that made me hurt more due to their combination. She put me on less drugs and different ones, I feel normal again. If you're a drug addict she will not be good for you. She will figure you out and help properly. I haven,t felt this good years.

She is the most patient doctor I've ever had. I've been seeing her for about 20 years now. I go to her frequently, though I'm not seriously ill, just minor chronic problems. She always listens carefully to my complaints and best of all does not over prescribe medications. She even offers homeopathic treatment when appropriate. I like her, I got my mother to go to her and I recommended a friend who sees her also. She's just a nice person who calmly listens to your problems then discusses it with you and provides a solution or refers you to someone who can.

Dr. Wolfson is the best. Her patients welfare always comes first. She takes the time to listen and will not stop until you feel better. You are not rushed out of her office and leaves no stone unturned until you show progress or feel better. My wife and I have moved to MD and it is a little too far for me to drive to Riddle. I will miss seeing her and I hope I can find a doctor half as good as her.

Never felt so good. I have been to many Docs, none like here. I have multible problems and no one seem to get my meds right. I always felt lousy but then I found here. She thinks outside the box, not one size fits all, got my meds right and now I feel fantastic!!! She will not stop until you are feeling like you should, GREAT!! Want to live life the way it should be lived, then see Dr. Wolfson, what a gem!!
