Dr. Hema Iyer, MD

Dr. Iyer treated a loved one, of mine, of whom I'm responsible for (as an inpatient). While she proposes various treatment options, she can be rather demanding & persistent at getting her point across - even if it means speaking over you as you try to interject your concerns. While she's relatively thorough at keeping family in the loop, one will ultimately feel they must conform to her judgment and way of speaking (she completely speaks over you and talks louder if you continue to talk after she's cut you off).. Very poor communication skills. Her treatment plan is also questionable.. Seems a number of patients with various illnesses, under her care (in the same facility) all encountered the same symptoms (regression) which extended their stay in the mental health facility, she practices in. Interesting observation.
