Been to several different surgeons. Dr Govekar was able to fix my issue within the first visit I had. Passionate smart doctor. So happy I came to see him.

Dr. Govecar literally saved my life. I had a huge colon cancer mass that he was able to remove in a minimally invasive way. He and his office staff were kind, very positive and very profession. To me he is superman and I will always be grateful to him.

Before meeting Dr. Govekar, I canceled surgery two times because I feared the pain and heard horror stories about so many docs. Although upon first meeting Dr. Govekar, I was impressed with his honesty and calm demeanor, I canceled the surgery the day before as my nerves just got the best of me. Dr. Govekar called me and talked with me for 30 minutes going over all my concerns and telling me specifics of what he could do to minimize discomfort post surgery. Several months later and with the Qi ality of my life being so negatively affected, I asked Dr. Govekar to schedule the surgery. To my utter amazement I had no pain and the relief from the surgery was immediate. Dr.Govekar skills as a surgeon are remarkable. As important as that is, he is a true progressive doctor who cares about his patients, despite the bureaucratic mess of insurance. At my follow up, Dr.Govekar did a procedure he could have called a surgery and gotten reimbursed for it. Instead he performed it so I would have… even more relief but with none of the red tape of insurance. Im so grateful I found Dr. Govekar and his nurses are amazing as well.

I first met Dr. Govekar at his office in Elmwood Park after being seen over night in the emergency room for a gallbladder attack. I needed surgery immediately, after spending an adequate amount of time explaining my ultrasound report and gallbladder surgery, I was accommodated the same day to have my gallbladder removed. He met with my wife after my procedure to update her on my status and how I tolerated the procedure. I then followed up 2 weeks after my surgery to meet with him again. He also spent enough time with me during my post op visit. All of my questions were answered, Dr. Govekar is the guy to see if you are in need of his services.

Not enough stars in the galaxy to give him. Dr Govekar is awesome. Cares about his patience. Excellent surgeon.

It certainly was my good fortune to have been referred to you!! You and your staff were so informative and caring from initial consult through post-op!!! There was minimal pain after procedure and your suturing is superb!!! Thank you so much for turning a scary situation into a smile!!!!!

I saw Dr Govekar at his office for a visit after emergency surgery I had. His office girls was not so friendly but him and his nurse made up for it. His nurse was bubbly and the doctor helped me out when I was in a lot of pain and knew who I was when he came in the room.
