Dr. Kim - great doctor! totally trust him and his team!

Dr.Kim is a very good people person beside why you are there he also wants to get to know you as a person which makes you feel so much more comfortable. I would recommend him to anyone that needs surgery. He is a 10 out of 10. Thank you Dr. Kim

Although I am sure Dr. Kim is a good surgeon, that’s where his competency stops. His condescending attitude to my appropriate questions were difficult to tolerate. I almost walked out on our encounter when he raised his voice at me and told me to “let me do my job”. Arrogant and cold, I could not ever return to him and he has given me a very negative impression of South Bend Orthopedic Clinic in general. I will go elsewhere for medical treatment moving forward.

I highly reccomend Henry Kim and his staff. I had both my knees replaced several years ago by Dr. Kim. I received fantastic care before, during, and after both surgeries. Additionally, I have had no problems with either knee after surgery. I am approaching ten years on my first knee and seven on my second.

Most unpleasant experience I've ever had with a physician and it was only a 10-minute pre-op consultation. He became defensive and belligerent when I asked about the potential consequence of delaying arthroscopic knee surgery, specifically, if a 2nd MRI would be required if I waited a few months to schedule surgery or if the arthroscopic procedure gives the surgeon the capacity to make adjustments if the meniscus tear has worsened slightly by then. Man should not have contact with the public.

Dr. Kim is very pleasant and very competent, however don't disagree with him or question his methods or he will turn on you. When I expressed my concerns, he took it as criticizing him and and wouldn't listen to my concerns in as any doctor should do. He asked if I wanted to see another doctor for a second opionion. Of course I didn't want to be seen by any doctor at the SBO because of their close ties to Dr. Kim. Ended up going to OSMC in Elkhart, IN. -- they did more extensive testing and found the problem. Had surgery that turned out great. Would not go back to Dr. Kim for anything.

Wait time is way too long. Dr was not interested in listening to me. He may be very good at what he does, but I would like to have a good rapport with my Dr and he gave me the impression that only what he has to say is important. He also "creates" added things in his notes that were not discussed during visit! That bothers me. His word against mine and of course my opinion wouldn't count. He would be right because he is the Doc. Sorry, I know what was discussed.

New to the area and he was referred to me and did an excellent job on my total knee replacement.
