Dr. Henry Kwabena Osei, MD

I loved my previous doctor, then he left. Dr. Osei is an interim Doctor, until the practice finds a permanent Doctor. Dr. Osei refused to continue my prescription, that my previous Doctor prescribed. This medication I need with my Testosterone therapy. Latter medical research confirms the use of this medication with testosterone therapy. Dr. Osei may have graduated from University of Ghana, with basic medicine skills, but he is not keeping up with modern medicine. I am sure he is good with basic stuff, but current medical trends, he is not.

I am a retired physical therapist, PhD who came to see this so called "doctor" for thyroid and kidney problems. He is an Int. Med physician so I expected him to be able to read my most recent blood panel and refer me for further evaluation. His frown and disposition tell me right away that he has a dislike for me and as the visit progress's he become more belligerent and less understanding. He reviews my information and asks me why I am taking one medication and was totally oblivious to another? These are common meds used to control my condition! He tells me that he does not want me as a patient. This I could not believe. I told him all I needed was to have my meds filled and just refer me to an endocrinologist and a nephrologist. OH! All of a sudden he could do that (maybe physical therapists know more about medicine than this guy thinks?). Caught him! He filled my prescriptions (selected ones) and gave me referrals outside my network, as he too was outside my network of providers. I… PAID CASH. I should mention at this point that he is black and I am white, just so you know. I believe what we had here was prejudicial. I told the receptionist that I would most likely eventually be looking for a new physician as Osei was uncertain of himself and I questioned his competency. She gave me all of my paperwork which included a follow up appointment IN 3 MONTHS when he would reevaluate my patient status. I became ill with a virus twice and was unable to complete the blood panel so his receptionist LIED to me and told me that because I did not have contact with them for 1 month I was dropped as a patient! I could not get my refills for meds I needed to function! She would not have them refilled. She LIED AGAIN and told me she could not refill meds either! This doctor and front office are not only incompetent, but stupid. LYING is something I never encountered as I never dropped him as a PCP. DO NOT SEE THIS HORRIBLE PHYSICIAN AS YOU WILL ALWAYS BE ABLE TO DO BETTER. Never in my 30 years as a physical therapist have I been treated like this. My former employer would have fired them all!

Dr. Osei is a very good, compassiate man. I have been with him since 2009 and found him to be very competence in his work taking his time to make sure I understand my condition and making the proper referrals when needed. I have refered a few people to him and they love him.

Very nice, compassionate doctor. Takes his time to explain your condition. Very nice staff

He is dry and short and seems uniterested in what his patients have to say. He has no compassion and does not return calls. His staff is worse.
