I'm still on appeal for a bill for a service that never happened. My name is Raysa Ramos.

I had a very bad experience in medical care with this doctor! First of all he was very cold , not a caring or a nice MD , but well I’m used to it! I have an insurance and the specialist cost 5$, I went there and I pay my 5$ as I did all the times that I had to go to a doctor , after 5 min with the doctor (no more ) he didn’t say nothing to me just sending me more tests without telling me any reasons. Then few weeks later I receive a letter that I had to pay 300$ To the doctor’s office, I call them and I said that my copayment for specialist is just 5$, they said that just because the doctor’S office in inside a hospital they can charge me that money , I call my insurance and they told me that is true , that they could do that ; I also have another specialist at UM who has the office also inside the hospital and this doctor never charge me more than my 5$, but all depends on the doctor , this people just want to charge the patient the maximum amount they could! I have an insurance… with Obamacare because of my low income, and I try to explain them that i can’t spend 300$ for talking 3 min with a doctor , I have a healthy condition and I have to spend a lot of money in medicines and tests every year , I’m not complaining for that I know that my insurance doesn’t cover many things, but this 300$ wasn’t my insurance copayment it was in the doctor’s hands! And the most important thing here is that they never inform me of this , I just got a letter and that’s it , If they had told me I wouldn’t have stayed to see the doctor , I would have looked for another specialist.
