Choosing Dr. Zegzula for my breast augmentation revision was honestly the best decision. At 60 years old I was concerned about achieving my goals and feeling secure with the outcome. I wanted to be able to fix my breast from a previous surgery, which I was never satisfied with and ended up being very unattractive. Dr. Zegzula attention to detail, surgical technique, and exceptional bedside manner exceeded my expectations, and I received the highest quality care. He made me feel comfortable to ask my many questions, and even went over pictures of what my breast augmentation would look like, and reassured me multiple times on the surgical procedure. His goal was to help me achieve my ideal image while still recommending what was best surgically for my body type (pretty narrow rib cage). My breast augmentation met all of my expectations now too months post op. No pain/swelling, and no numb areas in my breasts. My size is symmetrical and proportionate to my body type. Not only is Dr.… Zegzula a great surgeon, he is incredibly kind, caring, and a fantastic listener. He has exceeded all of my expectations of a top notch surgeon!

Dr. Zegzula came highly recommended and the experience I had working with him was excellent. There were many pre and post surgery appointments relating to the reconstruction surgeries following my bilateral mastectomy and Dr. Zegzula had a way of putting me at ease when I was concerned and he thoroghly answered any questions I had. I feel that Dr. Zegzula is an expert in his field and his confident and caring nature was reassuring throughout the many months I was under his care.

My experience with Dr. Zegzula was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a medical professional. I was diagnosed with Cancer and had a double mastectomy with reconstruction. Dr. Zegzula came highly recommended from a few people, someone that had her surgery done by him (who later agreed with me that he is very condescending), someone who worked with him (who later also agreed that he isn’t very kind), and my breast surgeon (whose nurse later called me to apologize for my experience with him). During my first appointment with him, he started the conversation off by questioning my choice in my cancer treatment, and was so condescending I cried during the appointment. I should have walked out of the office, but I was so overwhelmed with a cancer diagnosis, I went against my better judgement and continued seeing him. And to be clear, I am not someone who needs coddled, but every person, especially someone who has cancer, deserves respect and kindness, and a little… compassion. Over the course of my expansion appointments, he continued to be condescending and blatantly rude. He would speak to me like I was a child. I was speechless because I couldn’t believe that a “highly sought after” plastic surgeon was actually treating me this way. I had told my husband about it, and asked him if he could come to my next appointment with me, because I was having such bad anxiety before going in. He accompanied me to my next appointment and as Dr. Zegzula left the room, he turned to me with his eyes wide and mouth agape. To make a long story short, I finally talked to his nurse about how I was feeling, she apologized profusely stating that “He definitely didn’t mean to make you feel this way, let me talk to him and please give him a chance to make this right.” I never heard from him. I found a new surgeon, and I am grateful that I did.

I highly recommend Dr Zegzula. I am very pleased with the out come of my reconstructive breast augmentation. Dr Zegzula is supportive and compassionate. He took time to answere my questions and address my concerns. He was excellent in helping me thru the reconstructive process. His office staff is professional, knowledgable, and supportive. They maked me feel special.

He was awesome. I can't wait to have another surgery with him.

Love his thoughtful, considered response to my request for a tummy tuck at age 66. He carefully considered and assessed whether I was a candidate for a more or less aggressive approach. Because of my age, he recommended 1 night of hospitalization. He estimated a 3-week recovery which I thought was overly optimistic as I am by no means an athlete. However, I was in condition to return to work after 1 week!! AND I am beyond thrilled with the result, which was accomplished through a less aggressive approach. It's all I can do not to wear hip pants and a midriff baring top (which I have never done since once in my twenties.) My only regret is it's no longer age-appropriate! There's a reason Dr. Zegzula's colleagues have named him to the annual "best of Portland" list several years running. I will enthusiastically recommend him to others, and I will return to him should any other procedure come to mind.
