Dr. Herbert Collins Eidt

Dr Eidt has worked on my wife’s and daughters knees. He is always thorough in his explanations. He answers all questions patiently. My wife’s knee is awesome. My daughters knee continues to heal daily. Thank You Dr Eidt and Staff!

Dr. eidt suggested I get a new knee installed after only one cortisone shot he administered worked well but wore off quickly. That diagnosis scared me so I went to 2 other doctors for a second and third opinion who both said I did not need a 'new' knee at all and both were very surprised at dr. Eidt's diagnosis. I am doing fine with just a second cortisone shot 2 months later administered by a new doctor.

Dr Eidt help two of our daughters with sports injuries - one of which required surgery. He knows his stuff and takes time to make sure everything heals properly. His office is busy so there is wait time but just the typical wait. Would definitely recommend him!!!

Office scheduled me for an 8:30 appointment and I thought i got really lucky to get such an early appointment. But the doctor was actually not in the office yet cause he has hospital rounds. So why was I scheduled when he's not expected there? I left without seeing him. I had to go back to work. Not going back. Worst part, they already collected the copay but when i asked for it to be reversed, nobody in the office can do it and they'll have to call me back. I would be hesitant to pay upfront.

Description of Experience: Herbert Edit performed partial amputation on all my fingers and they did not heal correctly because he did not amputate them correctly. Prescribed improper bandaging procedures which caused 3 of my fingers to fuse together for the rest of my life. Had the have my fingers re-amputated at UCI because I had exposed bone on 7 fingers after Herbert Eidt improperly amputated them initially. I would not recommend this guy to anyone.

Explained fully all of my options, helped me to consider physical rehab and other non invasive options. Overall a great experience seeing Dr. Eidt!

I was seen promptly and Dr Eidt spent considerable time with me. He explained everything thoroughly. I felt so much better just understanding what was wrong with me. Will certainly go back to him again.

Not the best bedside manner. Doesn't convey a sense of caring for the patient. Maybe he's just focused on the operating room -- not a bad thing if you're going in for surgery. But for total patient care you may want someone with a more holistic view of your entire case.
