Very thorough doctor who takes much interest in his patients.

I've seen Dr. Lin on three occasions over the past several years when my primary care physician was unavailable. Dr. Lin is an associate in Dr. Fang's office. Not only is he highly competent, Dr. Lin is very understanding and gave me, on all three occasions, as much time as I needed to explain my medical issue and exceptional medical advice.

In addition to the comments about this excellent healer, I need to say that his staff is also outstanding. Having been a Boston Catholic priest for over 40 years, I have found myself visiting folks and seeing them with their physicians all over this well supplied with hospitals city. Dr. Lin's staff is A number 1,

Dr. Lin was very friendly and a very good listener.

I saw Dr. Lin at the MGH Walk In clinic on a Sunday morning. I'd been running a fever for a few days and wanted to get checked for an infection. Dr. Lin's bedside manner left a lot to be desired. He checked his phone multiple times while with me (which was only about 10 minutes). He did not ask me about any of my symptoms besides fever. I asked if it could be strep throat and he refused to do the quick test. When looking at my throat he gagged me and then complained that he couldn't get a very good look, but didn't bother to try again. He didn't look in my ears or nose. Finally, he went to listen to my lung sounds but didn't warn me and just started trying to take off my shirt. I have no physical impairments and would have very capable of taking off my own shirt had he asked. As a young woman alone in a room with a male doctor, this struck me as very inappropriate. After his perfunctory examination, Dr. Lin rudely lectured me about the importance of having a PCP (I recently moved to… the area and haven't set one up yet; I was under the impression that this is one of the main patient bases for the Walk In unit at MGH). He then tried to get me to set up an appointment with him at his clinic. After his marketing spiel he left. I am still ill and am crossing my fingers it is a virus that will resolve in a few days, though I haveno reassurances of that from Dr. Lin.
