Dr. Heriberto Jose Alanis, MD

As soon as I entered the Emergency Room at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco, Tx and met Dr. Alanis I knew I was in good hands and had nothing more to worry about. A ruptured vein in the ankle region of my right foot was bleeding and I had lost considerable blood before arriving at the ER. Within minutes care was being administered and the 8 people in my room were working with Dr. Alanis to stop the bleeding, suture the wound, and make me feel comfortable. My husband was in the room with me and he noted that everyone worked together as a well trained team and, in only minutes, my emergency crisis was treated. I spent the night in the Surgical Unit of the hospital, received one blood transfusion, and had continuing care and attention all night long. We are Winter Texans in Weslaco, TX and it is comforting to know that we have access to high quality physicians, nurses, EMT's, at an acute care hospital only minutes away.
