Dr. Herman Joseph Fritz, MD

I moved to Tuscaloosa from Florida, and needed a family physician. I was so worried that I could not find a doctor that would treat me in the manner that my doctor did in the past. I found Dr. Fritz to be very professional and compassionate. He was very knowledgeable about my health problems and concerns. His staff is wonderful. They are so helpful. I would recommend Dr. Fritz to anyone who needs a good doctor who cares.

Dr. Fritz and his nurses are wonderful. That without question. However, his support staff (including his receptionist(s) and office staff) are beyond incompetent. Even though I am a dedicated patient who has been patronizing this office for over four years, the support staff routinely fail to carry out the simplest of tasks. For example, at least twice a year they forget to mail my prescription to me because they can't be bothered to simply place a self-addressed stamped envelope into the proper mail slot, leaving me waiting days for my medicine. When presented with problems, they are discourteous and spiteful, and they dismiss the problems that they generate as inconsequential. Overall, Dr. Fritz and his wonderful nurses are exactly the type of professionals anyone would want to see, but his support staff is completely incompetent.

I have been a patient of Dr. Herman "Joe" Fritz for the past 10 years. He has provided me, and my family, with outstanding patient care. His office staff are both professional and courteous. I would recommend anyone in need of a doctor to consider his practice.
