Dr. Herman Warren Palat, DO

Doctor Palat was my family doctor as far back as I can remember growing up in Philadelphia, when his office was at D and Wyoming, my family name is pepsin. As I grew older I moved out of state and I became very ill. No one could diagnose or find out what was wrong with me. I had excessive peeing in my legs and fever for over a month... At one point I was told that because my white blood count was low it was probably leukemia. As a last resort I went back to visit Doctor palat, I was about 22 at the time and probably hadn't seen him in closer 10 years. He thoroughly examined me. Ask me pertinent questions. And gave me a test for Lyme's disease. no one had done that prior. It came back positive and because he caught it quickly I had no permanent damage. He was always good to me and my family. I actually enjoyed going to the doctor. If I was in the area still oh, he would be my first choice if he was still practicing. So thank you Doctor palat, for the many years you helped my family… ?? This .. doctor is happy to see female patients any time. Heck, he even goes to FLORIDA to see certain patients - or meet them there if they are there for other "business" - for some hands-on therapeutic time.

He's retired now but he saved my life. I miss him.

Oh, he makes house calls. And has a hands on approach with certain female patients.

I'am a patient of Dr. Palat and he is a WONDERFUL, CARING Doctor and person. I have been going to him for many years and not only is he knowlegable, he is very personable and down to earth. His bedside manner is great, care is spot on. I would NEVER change my PCP, he is wonderful! Dx are spot on. I really can't say enough good things about him. He is a very busy Dr. and has alot of patients, but it's very understandable, he's one of the best.

Dr. Palat helped save my life. I had symptons from which he suggested I get a colonosopy. The results of the colonoscopy showed that I had a cancerous tumor in my rectum. Today I am cancer free. I owe that to Dr. Palat. Without his recommendation of getting a colonoscopy, I may not be around to give this review right now. I owe him my life!

Most caring doctor in the world . I consider him to be a friend not just a doctor . He often times goes over and above for his patients . He sees all sick people , never turns anyone away. He works early , late and weekends . He is an excellent physician and I'm thrilled he is mine

Lost my son becsuse of Dr Pallet, he is a pill doctor, he overly gave him scripts, until he became addicted and died, due to the privacy act, I could not stop him. I wanted to find out why and what's in it for him? Well I found out its the kickbacks from Drug companies who pay for many things for him, vacation etc, the more he prescribes the more benefits he gets.So what happened to "what's good for the patient" HE ALSO THINKS HE IS THE SPECIALIST IN EVERY CATEGORY, RATHER THEN SEND PATIENTS TO THE PROPER DOCTOR.

I just like to know why my sister died within a couple of weeks after Dr. Palat gave her a clean bill of health. Why did he increase her lyrica when her legs and feet were swollen? Could it be he did not know the side effects of lyrica (a seizure medication that she was taking for pain)? She had no blood clots or bleeds, yet she died of cardiac arrest with brain anoxia. The doctor at the hospital she was taken to indicated on the eeg report that the brain anoxia was indicative of a patient who was on a seizure medication. She had no brain waves because the blood pooled because her heart, although it was beating, stopped pumping whereby no blood could get back up to the brain, thereby causing her brain to die. Dr. Palat should just simply retire and stay there. If I was able to I would make his overal rating a minus.

I have been a patient of Dr.Palat's for 31 years now. I would not ever change my practice!! They are an amazing doctors office. When he retires I dont know what I will do!! He also have been the doctor for my entire family for years. We actually followed him from his Olney office to now his Northeast office.
