Dr. Herold Abellard, MD

He is a great man and he has helped with my anxieties and depression. I would recommend him to a friend.

Possesses the knowledge of a psychotherapist, not simply categorizing the patient and sending an Rx.

Dr Herrold Abellard has helped me when I thought wanted to end it all. my health was deteriorating. My mental state was shot. It takes time but the support and staff makes you feel lke you are welcomed and most important human. Thank you for all.

Dr. Herold Abellard was unprofessional and rude as he focused on talking about money. My 12 year old son was referred to Dr. Herold Abellard for evaluation and treatment for ADHD and Anxiety. During our first visit to his office I asked the doctor if he would provide my son with therapy and he told me that he would write a prescription for medication but he would refer me out to another doctor for therapy. He stated that my sons insurance pays him only 90 dollars for the one hour session and that was not enough for him and he did not want to provide my son with therapy sessions. I was shocked to hear those words come from a psychiatrist. A psychiatrist is a doctor with specific training in the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness. A psychiatrist can provide the counseling necessary to both diagnose and treat a patient, as well as prescribe medication. Psychiatrists are medical doctors, unlike psychologists, and must evaluate patients to determine whether their… symptoms are the result of a physical illness, a combination of physical and mental, or a strictly psychiatric one. He was arguing with me in front of my child the entire time of our first visit and made us feel so uncomfortable as he treated us very bad because of my sons health insurance which is provided from Affinity Health Plans. I would never recommend anyone to visit Dr. Herold Abellard. I will be making a report about this matter because no one should be treated that way because of his theory about money and health insurance. It's very shameful on his part as he is supposed to help people instead he made my 12 year old son feel horrible!

Initially had a hard time getting an appointment, but once I started seeing him it was very easy to make convenient appointments and reschedule. Courteous staff and usually on time.

Went to many neurologists from Boston to NH and only Dr. Abellard was able to help my daughter with her aggressive behaviors. Cannot say enough about this Doctor.

They triple book busy days like Sunday's and have you waiting for over an hour. Guy at the office was rude and had no explanation as to why the wait was so extremely long.

Dr. Avelllard is a dedicated ,briliant and with profound understanding of human emotions. He is an inspiration of the spirit of compassion needed in the mental health profession. His information gathering is done in a though,systematic way that help disminish the client's anxiety. He is able to allow the client to express the pain of suffering with mental illness by listening, exploring the essential of understanding the symptoms, exploring multifactors necessary to make a correct and accurate diagnosis without feeling label. I was extremely relaxed and comfortable taking to him and receiving education on how to live with depression and anxiety disorder. Congratulation for your accurrate diagnosis and dedication to find the right medication for my son . There is no money in the word to express the peace he brought back to our home .
