Dr. Hiba Al-Dabagh, MD

I must have been mis-diagnosed for years by other doctors, because Dr. Al dabagh's approach was completely different. I have hypothyroidism and adrenal problems. At first, I didn't think she was going to help me, but she kept on trying. Yes, she is straight forward, which I appreciate, but she is also patient. I have finally some results, along with some of the usual side-effects. I have recommended her to several of my friends who suffer from thyroid conditions.

I have been seeing this doctor for 3 years now, my previous dr misdiagnosed me and dr al dabagh most likely saved my life. She is very efficient and just straight forward which is probably why other reviews say she is rude, she is not rude at all she is just straight forward and will not waste your time or hers. I have seen several doctors since being diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and I have to say she is the best. She listens and explains everything in detail and if something does not make me comfortable she will come up with another treatment option. The staff is very courteous especially since hiring a new receptionist. I definitely give her 5 stars.

I had a very large multi-nodular goiter (ended up being larger than the surgeon's fist). When Dr Al-Dabagh first examined it, she said it was fine and we will just monitor it. I was also having really bad symptoms from the growth which she ignored. She told me it was just because I was getting old (I had just turned 25). Her wait and see approach allowed the goiter to grow until I could finally see another endo that actually took action and recommended it to be out immediately. She is very cold and does not listen to anything I had to say. I should've had that goiter removed as soon as she saw it. If only I had known then...

I can honestly say, I have never come across such a rude doctor! After waiting an hour for my appointment, she enters the room with a scowl on her face. No smile, no niceties, no apology for running late, nothing. She spent 10 mins with me and this was my first appointment! I explained my symptons and she said 'you have mirochondrial disease, I don't treat that' (that's not why I was there) then said 'you have fibromyalgia what do you expect'?? 'Your not sleeping, what do you expect??? I said about the nausea and she said if it's that bad how did you get pregnant?? (Which was 6 years ago by the way). It was my doctor who referred me to see her as she felt an endocronologist could help me, as I have had low blood sugar since 2006 and experiencing extreme fatigue. She said don't bother making another appointment, ring up for your blood results in a week. I telephoned a week later and was told the Dr would telephone me with results when she'd finish with her patients later that day.… I received no telephone call, so I telephone again the following day. I was told the same again so I asked the receptionist couldn't she give me the results? So she did. Terrible experience.

This is a good and caring doctor who takes her time with you and is very helpful in an emergency. The nurse is also good. But I do not like nor will tolerate a front desk person sitting there with her camera phone eyeing my credit card. Also she is does not rely messages to the doctor that are urgent. SHe flat out denied putting my credit card info into her phone when I watched her do it and denied to my face that I called the office. My husband and I both called with an urgent manner and the doctor never received the call. This doctor will return calls and will help any way she can for a patient.4 stars for Doctor and nurse and 0 for front desk.

I think the office staff was very nice & courteous towards me. The Dr had a great bedside manner, The only problem I had was the wait after arriving but I understand that the Dr. is 1 person with many patients & she can get backed up. So in order to see a good Dr. the wait is worth it. Thank you to the office staff & the Dr. for being so kind.

I have going to this office for since it opened and like the way I have been treated. This doctor has always been extremely helpful and probably helped save my life . The nurse is very knowledgeable. The people at the window need some more training on focusing on the patient instead of personal phone calls and keeping camera cell phones beside a computer full of patient data and credit cards. This should not be allowed. Also cell phones should not be around insulin pumps..very upsetting to have to worry pump will not work , The last 3 window people have been upsetting to me but the doctor and nurse make up for them since the reception help never last long. There really have been an increased wait time since most insurance companies only have this doctor listed in their formulary because she is so good and the only one in this Davenport area. What used to be a 15 minute wait is now 55 to 60 minutes or more. Maybe the hospital could hire another doctor for this office since there are… many patients.

Dr. Al-Dabagh is very professional and easy to talk to. But her receptionist needs to be replaced. It is so hard to call and get information.
