Dr. Hiba Bashir, MD

This provider was one of the worst physician I have ever encountered. I went to see her for an allergy problem and she treated me with disrespect and I left the clinic feeling as though I wasted my time and I’m still feeling flabbergasted as to why a doctor would have that kind of bed side manner. I went there to be treated for an issue but I will never go back to that clinic and especially that doctor.

I saw Dr. Bashir prior to going into my clinical year for veterinary medicine. I was looking for recommendations regarding treatment of chronic allergies, for which I had previously seen a different allergy/immunology specialist in my home state. I was up front that I would not have time available for allergy immunotherapy injections due to the rigors of my program, but was interested in a treatment plan that could accommodate my lifestyle for the next year. Dr. Bashir was unwilling to work with my time constraints, saying that I would make time if it was that important to me. Furthermore, as I am allergic to cats, she told me I really should not be in the field I have chosen (although my other allergist readily worked with me and never attempted to dissuade me from my field). I am sure she is a competent provider; however, she lacked appropriate bedside manner, empathy, and overall, failed to meet my needs as her patient.
