Dr. Hilary Chukwudolu Akpudo, MD

My daughter has been under Dr. Akpudo’s care at two separate hospitals. I asked multiple times during her stay for him to contact me regarding her care, as I was authorized by my daughter to be able to obtain medical information from him. He never once called me. Her health continued to deteriorate under his care. She asked multiple times for a new physician -each time it was declined. He had her consent to ECT therapy without her being in the right state of mind not understanding what she was consenting to. My daughter‘s patient rights have been violated. He refused to sign paperwork for me to act on her behalf as her mother since she cannot competently make medical decisions for herself. She requested numerous times for me to be able to act on her behalf as she is a young adult who cannot make her own medical decisions. It was denied while under his care, even with proper paperwork submitted by my attorney. The hospital staff working with him is also dismissive, defensive and… continue to impede me when I would try to advocate and help my daughter. Dr Akpudo Is negligent, unethical, unprofessional and is not standing by the oath he took as a doctor.

Unable to cover the scope of the malpractice and depravity this man provides due to the guidelines.

When calling, Receptionist is unprofessional and not willing to help with prescription refills. Last month I was told that I could not have my prescriptions sent to two different pharmacies. Am I the only one who uses both local and mail order pharmacies depending on the type of prescription. This month she insist that a prescription was sent over, but I called contacted both mail order and local pharmacy only to be told it was not sent over. I called back Dr. Akpudo’s office only to be told I need to call back the pharmacy because it was definitely sent over. I called the pharmacy back with the phone number that the receptionist gave me only to be told that it was never sent over. When I called Dr Akpudo’s office back no one answered. I feel frustrated that the receptionist is unwilling to assist me.

Dr. Akapudo is wonderful and truly cares about the needs of his patients. Ive been under psychiatric care for 20+ yrs . by other dr's, i was turned into a walking zombie, but Dr. Akapudo gave me my life back! He started treating the core issue which has reflected on every part of my life! I no longer sufffer with sleep paralysis, nightmares and flashbacks associated with PTSD are nearly non-existent, i do not have panic attacks 3-6 x daily, have recovered from anorexia and bulimia ALL THANKS TO DR.AKAPUDO!! if you want a dr who cares , please book an appointment immediately! Thanks !

The worst experience I have ever had with a medical care professional. I rate my care less than poor almost deadly. I would not recommend this physician to anyone. He manipulated my care while I was in Cypress Creek Hospital under his ill care. I believed I was not safe under his care in the Cypress Creek Hospital. I am thankful to God to still be alive after what I experienced under his care.

I have never visited or called an office who when I call, treats me like an idiot. This is veeery strange.
