Dr. Hilary Mara Bowers, MD

Horrible, very rude. Instead of listening, she Judges you. I would never recommend her.

We found Dr. Bowers to be condescending, abrasive, and lacking empathy. She seemed hurried and frustrated with our questions. Based on this, we won't be choosing her for further care.

Dr. Bowers is a highly skilled and thorough doctor. She is patient and attentive to parents and their concerns (even the things she's heard a million times). My child is very shy, but is comfortable around Dr. Bowers. Very helpful with email questions and being an advocate for a child when it comes to the bureaucracy of insurance. Best of the best!

I am a foster parent and have taken multiple babies to this office and seen several different doctors. All of them are very good, but Dr. Bowers is one of our favorites. She listens to everything we have to say and doesn't dismiss any of it as unimportant. She explains what's she looking for, what indications she sees (or doesn't see), what the most likely cause is, what's possible that we'll continue to watch for, and what she's going to recommend/prescribe and why. She explains things very clearly without being condescending. She clearly values parental reporting, saying that we know our babies best, so if we think there's something wrong, we're probably right. This pediatric care group is very busy, so we do usually wait 15-30 minutes (waiting room + exam room), but everyone on staff is courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly, the space is clean and pleasant, and the nurses are all fantastic. Also, they are affiliated with Rady Children's Hospital, so when our babies have needed… specialists or hospitalization, all the information transfers seamlessly. The care we get is so good that we don't mind waiting a bit!

She is nice, smart, caring, competent and understanding. I feel so happy to have her as our pediatrician.
