Dr. Hillary Shapiro-Wright is truly one of the most caring, knowledgeable, and compassionate surgeons I have ever met. From my very first appointment on April 22nd, she made me feel informed, supported, and confident during one of the most difficult moments of my life after being diagnosed with lymphoma in my right breast. On May 15th, she performed my surgery at Baptist Health Boca Regional Hospital, and I could not have asked for better care. She took the time to explain everything thoroughly, answered all my questions, and reassured me every step of the way. What meant the most to me was that she made me feel like more than just another patient. She genuinely cared about my well-being and reassured me that no matter what my biopsy results show, she will continue to guide me and make sure I am not alone through this journey. I saw Dr Shapiro-Wright in Cincinnati when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. She was forthcoming and informative, which I found both refreshing and comforting. She listened to me and gave me options based on my preferences but also advised me about the decisions I made that she disagreed with. She did so with understanding and respect. Hillary also guided me to a really skilled plastic surgeon for the reconstruction. I feel so blessed to have found her because I came away with a surprisingly good experience given the circumstances.
