Dr. Hilliard Elliott Slavick, MD

He is a jerk and I agree with the other reviews. He was treating my dad for Alzheimers and tried to be condescending which I straightened him out on. I also had to let him know that my father understood everything thing he was saying and not to talk as if he was not present. Being a HCP as well I was constantly monitoring his therapy. He even lied about a medication he prescribed which was not for Alzheimers. When I questioned him he tried to cover up his error.

My experience with "Dr." Slavick bordered on malpractice. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone, but if you have seizures of any kind, avoid this man at all costs. I wasted much of a year seeing him, hoping I would get to the bottom of why I was having seizures. After months I was no closer to knowing the cause, but had wasted hundreds of dollars on improperly ordered tests (I later learned they weren't specific enough to seizures). Several times he made sexist and fat-phobic comments, implying that I (or any woman) would want the weight-loss side effects offered by the medication he prescribed--which I did not like, and for which he would not offer an alternative. Upon seeing another neurologist, they were surprised as to why that medication was prescribed in the first place. It also became clear that, unless I had a seizure right in front of him, he wasn't even going to be convinced that I really did have seizures. Turns out I have epilepsy. Took one appointment elsewhere to learn that.

Dr. Slavick made my life a living h311 by treating me for the wrong illness. He then fired me as a patient after my fathers sudden death for missing appointments which I even offered to pay for .I was his patient for many years but that did not matter to him. Dr. Slavick even met my father and knew how close we where because my father took me to my appointment with Dr. Slavick when he injected my jaw, lower neck along with my upper shoulders with Botox. Dr. Slavick and I even traded stock tips and he was so proud to tell me about his daughters $100,000.00 wedding and then he drops me as patient and I did not owe him any money! The worst part of all of this is that I truly trusted him because he was a doctor.

Have been taking family member for ALZ for 5 years and at times he seems to be very condescending. He also talks about the patients disease with the family as if the patient is not there and does not seem to be concerned that he/she can still understand everything that is being said. He should be more diplomatic about this, even though the patient has dementia it does not mean that their cognition is completely impaired.

I called Dr. Slavick based on his reviews here. I have been suffering headaches, loss of sleep and concentration. I believe this is from concussion from a car accident I was in. The receptionist said, and I quote - "We don't do car accidents."

Good person figured what was causing my problem.

Dr. Slavick is a wonderful and caring Doctor of Neurology. We see him at St. Joseph's Hospital along the lake. I'm giving him and his staff 5 stars, They all have been kind and caring. It's not an easy practice to devote your life too. Having lived the life of a caretaker, a little more each year, for many years. Any bit of hope, a lot of caring, and new research that comes your way is so important.

I've been seeing Dr. Slavick for many years now and all I can say is he is an amazing Neurologist and is very caring towards his patients.

I have been a patient with Dr. Hillard Slavick for 18 years. He is the best. I have multiple sclerosis and with a good diet and vitamin supplements and occasional meds, i have done well.

Best neurologist i ever had very caring and patient doctor finally found doc that knows how to diagnois and treat his patients.
