Dr. Himal Rajiv Shah

First off i am not a complainer or habitual reviewer but i felt compelled to write this review. I was referred to Doctor Shah by a different doctor for symptoms that are related to cardiac issues. I went there blindly based on the referral of a doctor i really like.... Go figure. Bad idea. After 5 visits and 5 specialists co-pays i have never seen the doctor other than a pop in introduction on the first appt. I have only been seen by a PA or NP. I don't go to a specialist to see a PA or NP. That fine at the PCP but not a heart doctor. I was also not happy that they claimed i had to come to separate appts and pay co-pays multiple times to get routine in office test like EKG, ECG, ECG of the carotid. I had to do those 3 test on separate days and pay separate co-pays each time. Then another appt for the stress test with yet another copay. When i finally got an appointment to follow up on all the testing i again only saw a NP. The NP was not aware of my case and had not even looked at… the results of testing including a month long heart monitor and a Nuclear Stress Test prior to my arrival. She did not even have the results in the system and had to leave me in the office to hunt them down. Bottom line is this is a badly run office that is mostly PA and NP with only one doctor that as far as i can tell is never there. So do your homework before coming here i am changing to a different provider.

Office staff are extremely rude.

2 years, 4 appointments, pa or rn but no doctor! Don’t you go to a heart specialist to see a heart specialist? Not a rn or a pa. That may work at your primary but not at a heart specialist? I don’t want a pa or rn operating/ treating me. Show up early and wait past ur scheduled time..... every time ... over an hour last time. Ask specifically if I was going to see doctor... told yes.. n never see her ... Is this the service you want from a heart specialist? Apparently a pa or rn qualifies for payment from the insurance company.... isn’t that “special “... they get paid n you see a rude nurse instead of a specialist. Unhappy patient! Lost trust! Extremely poor service! Extremely! Worst treatment from any doctors office that I’ve ever experienced for such a serious condition in my entire life!

Things have changes a lot at this office. Appointments are now running only 15 minutes behind now. In the past, it was almost an hour. I like the new changes.

This office is very hard to get call backs from Dr or Staff.

I recently visited Dr Shah, I was very happy that she accommodated me on the same day. Very thorough and competent. The office was clean and roomy. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. I actually forgot my wallet in the office and they informed me about it and waited for me in the office while I came back to get it. I would highly recommend her to friends and family.

I wish I knew how terrible this office service level before I got referred to Dr. Shan's office. Dr Shan is ok but not his office staff. So when you can't get anything done through his office staff then you can't get any done by him. Still try to get my new prescription filled after 1 1/2 week. I will have to stop by his office in person. I wish insurance compony know this (by ranking) so he can't stay in bussiness. So sure will switch to new doctor.

The staff was horrible. No customer service at all and so incredibly unorganized. The office manager is just rude and has not people skills at all.

I have suffered with the cardiac condition for last 18 years. Have seen multiple cardiologist. Each one did multiple tests and put me on different medications with no improvement in my condition. Upon recommendation of a friend, I saw Dr. Shah. In the very first visit she told me what she thought it was and what we may have to do. After some testing, she confirmed that and did an ablation. Now I am off medications and feel like a new energetic person. She is god send for me and a wonderful person. I had read the other reviews and yes there is some wait time in her clinic. But she spend a lot of time with her patients and the wait is well worth it.

She is kind and personable and very thorough.
