Dr. Himani Chandra, MD

Do not waste your time or money. I scheduled an appointment with this doctor back in February for a 3 month recheck per her request. I get a call from her office yesterday, 1 week before I get my labs done and 2 weeks before I see her. The only time they could reschedule my appointment was the end of July 2.5 months after the doctor requested I come back. I said to the girl why does my appointment have to be changed when I scheduled 3 months ago. I also said I’m pissed off and it’s not acceptable. Her answer was “how do you think I feel when I have to hear the same thing from every patient “. Seriously? My answer to her was you chose your profession not me. If she can’t handle the pressure she needs to look for another job. So I filed a complaint and received a call from Bianca who tells me that Dr Chandra is overwhelmed because she sees 30 patients a day and needs some time off. If that’s the case, I’d be really concerned about the cars I’m receiving from this office. Needless to say… I’m getting my records from this office and going to a different group altogether. Seems to me a patient’s health is not a priority with this NYP office. I’m also filing complaints everywhere I can.

This is the worst doctor I have ever visited. She never even treated me and just sat down behind her desk acting like she was some big deal, but never even examined me. She just followed protocol on a prescription given by another physician and never did the proper testing. I wouldn't trust this doctor with your health. You need to do your research and be your own health advocate. Dr. Himani needs to go back to school and get educated on prevention medicine rather than just blindly "practicing" medicine.

This doctor is terrible. She never even treats her patients and spends very little time with them. The proper tests are never given. She just writes harmful prescriptions without knowing the root cause of the patient's medical condition and only cares about the kickbacks.

She is a super Doctor. The world needs ten more. Always stays on top of my medical concerns.I have every confedence in her judgments and diagnosis. With her heavy patient load, she is always there to see me or answer my questions.I hope she stays with the VA hospital for many, many years. Thank you
