Dr. Hoan Van Tran, MD

Dr is nice, but is not a surgeon. Limited practice. Ever since the Camp Fire Chico has too many patients and not enough doctors. You will have better luck going out of town. The office staff are impersonal and not friendly. After a procedure I have to wait over 3 months to see this doctor. No call back regarding the disease he discovered . Referred out to Stanford Hospital (5 hours away) for surgery. I only found out my tests results by making numerous repeated phone calls to doctors office and got the results 2 months after! He has the office staff (no medical training) do the communicating. Very unprofessional.

I came to Dr Tran after I was diagnosed with colon cancer at the age of 51' I went to UCD in Sacramento and had my colon removed' now I have a J Pouch. I was released from UCD and they reccomend Dr Tran and I am so beyond thankful. Every visit I have had with him has been very professional and you can see the kindness in his eyes and warmness in his heart.He handled my first out patient procedure very delicately' most of all I felt safe and trusted him. I would recommend him to anyone who wanted expertise' professionalism' empathy and kindness.

I have an upper gastric problem and have had emergency upper GI surgery and several follow-up upper GI procedures. I feel very comfortable with the procedure, they have an EXCELLENT nursing staff that goes out of their way to be there for your every concern. Dr. Tran is very genuine in his concern for your treatment and I trust him implicitly.
