Dr. Hoi Ko Lee, MD

This "physician" should be in another line of work. Terrible bedside manner. He spent less than one minute with me in the Bryn Mawr ER on Feb 19, and in that brief time managed to belittle me over the fact that I do not currently have a primary care physician rather than focus on my severe respiratory symptoms and possible remedies. Brusque, disrespectful, dismissive and judgmental. And his fee is over $500 for that brief and unpleasant encounter!

I encountered Dr. Lee when I visited the ER because I left another hospital an hour away, after a full day of appointments, without realizing the IV had not been removed from my port. I called Bryn Mawr er and was told their staff would remove it. When I arrived, Dr. Lee bluntly and dismissively informed me that the nurses may not do it due to liability issues (they did not put it in). Later a young man nurse came and told me he would remove it but would use a saline flush rather than heparin as it was believed to cause fewer potential problems. He was kind and pleasant and explained everything to me so I would understand. This was the way I am accustomed to being treated by Main Line Health staff. My family receives most medical care from Main Line Health providers and appreciate the good care we receive. Dr. Lee's attitude made an upsetting situation worse.

This man misdiagnosed my mother. He was rude and dismissive towards my family and didn’t listen to a thing we had to say. He has no bedside manner. I don’t know how he keeps his job, but he tarnishes the name of a good hospital.

Extremely unpleasant experience with this doctor. He dismissed my symptoms and concerns. Very rude and arrogant, awful bedside manner.
