Dr. Holliday Kane Rayfield, MD

I met with her once. That was enough. Told me she would not treat me unless I went on the medicine of her choice. Even though I expressed several times that I would not. She is cold and unfeeling.

Dr. Rayfield is a great psychiatrist.

After 40 years of being treated for Bipolar Disorder, and severe anxiety, she diagnosed me as having Borderline personality. This was after 10 minutes of discussion, and without benefit of looking at my medical records.Arrogant, thinking she is smarter than the dozens of psychiatrists I have had to see over the years. Not profesional, continually interrupting me, not caring or listening to me, not letting me finish a sentence... I don't like, trust or respect her.

Love Dr. Rayfield. She's caring, gets to the heart of things,not affraid to try new things,keeps on top of your condition. I brought up some herbs I want to try instead of some medications and she hs been open to talking about it and she's found out more in her own. Been with her for over 10 years.Will not change. Always be prepared for a 15 minute wait though. She's so thorough,she always goes over her time... If you have a 1:00 appt, she will come and get you at 1:15. I have learned to just arrive at 1:10 and be fine with it.

Dr. Rayfield has no bedside manner, her office is a giant mess, she is sporadic and asks questions about your history out of order. She kept me waiting more than 20 minutes for my appointment and kept me 20 minutes longer than I had planned to be away from work. She is harsh (calls it "her style") so do not expect any empathy from her. I was emotional when I saw her and I felt she mistook my emotional state and made suggestions for medications (too many) and dosages that were astronomical. I will not be going back.
