Holly Cholvin is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over five years of experience providing compassionate, patient-centered psychiatric care across the lifespan. She grew up in Wisconsin, an experience that shaped and grounded, her practical approach to care and her deep respect for people’s individual stories.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Gender Studies from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where she developed a strong foundation in social systems, identity, and advocacy. She went on to complete a Master’s degree in Forensic Behavior Analysis at Florida Gulf Coast University, which deepened her understanding of complex behavioral patterns, trauma, and the intersection of mental health and life circumstances. She later earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of South Alabama, specializing in psychiatric mental health care.

She takes a …holistic, patient-centered approach that integrates evidence-based psychiatric treatment with a deep appreciation for each individual’s lived experience. She believes effective mental health care begins with understanding the whole person—not just symptoms—and empowering patients to actively participate in their treatment. Holly provides evaluation and medication management for a range of mental health concerns, including mood disorders, psychotic disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma-related conditions, and other psychiatric challenges. Her work is grounded in fostering trust, respect, and collaboration, with care plans tailored to each patient’s values, goals, and lifestyle.
