Dr. Holly Dawn Cockrum, MD

This woman cut into my bowel when she was supposed to remove my ovaries by laparoscope (camera). Was supposed to go home that day not be in ICU with a blood infection and on a ventilator for 5 days! She wasn't even sure if she removed the right ovary! I ended up staying in the hospital for 2 months. I have been in and out of the hospital 10 times over the last year and need to have 3 more operations to attempt to make me look "normal" I came very close to dying. She may as well do surgery with a bulldozer. Whatever you do, do NOT allow this woman to touch you.

Do not, I repeat, do not go to this doctor if you wish to have a doctor who actually cares about you and your baby. She will not take you seriously and the nurses on her L&D unit are rude, unprofessional, and incompetent. Thankful that my baby is alive and well no thanks to her and her staff. Please see a more caring and competent doctor and nursing staff. Deliver at a different hospital!

Misdiagnosed uterine prolapse, refused physical therapy, & recommended surgery. Glad I got specialist 2nd opinion.

She is horrible. Her lunch break was more important than me giving birth. I decided to go naturally with my labor, and when I reached 10 CM I had to hold there until she came half an hour later. She is the worst. Dr. Chang is the best way to go.

My wife is recently pregnant with our first child, and we scheduled an initial consult visit with Dr. Cockrum. The appointment was scheduled a month out, and we both requested the day off of work for this special day. Upon arrival to the clinic, however, we were presented with a document to sign for our portion of the entire pregnancy and birth. We explained to the staff that we couldn't commit to the request, as we were considering a home birth and hadn't even met Dr. Cockrum yet. How could we agree to the entire process without even having met her?? They consulted with Dr. Cockrum, and we were told that she would not even see us. At this point, my wife is in tears. The staff? They didn't seem to mind a bit. We were not offered an apology or a chance to speak with Dr. Cockrum. We were simply told that they would not see us. It was truly pathetic. I will never recommend that anyone see Dr. Cockrum, and will do everything I can to spare others this type of treatment.

Holly was great, her nurses were even better. Had a partial hysterectomy. The recovery was great and haven't had any problems. I would recommend this doctor. The only problem that I've had was getting a copy of my medical records from this office. After requesting on four separate occasions, I have still not received. Requesting a fifth time.

Dr. Cockrum, as a first opinion, is very nice and friendly. As a healthcare provider, she did not satisfy my needs. I have had a diagnosis for seven years now (not diagnosed by her) that will require attention when trying to conceive. At my last 3 yearly appointments, because I was not trying to conceive, she brushed my condition/concerns off and said " we will worry about it late". Although I was not trying at the time, I was very concerned about my condition, and was seeking education from whom I thought owed me an explanation. I have many question about what contraceptives were better for me, and she never gave me straight forward answers, just wrote me the same script time after time. I have wasted 3 young, healthy, conceiving years with her, and I WILL NOT waste another.

I love Dr. Cockrum, she is a great doctor, and helped me with my advanced Endometriosis. Highly recommended.

Doctor Cockrum is amazing so far I had several friends recommend her and I'm happy I chose her as my doctor!

She is very uncaring. Dimissed my concerns about my health. Ignored my mammogram results and told me to go back in 6 months--my cancer would have spread more if I did. She even answered her phone during my yearly exam. I just wouldn't recommend her. No thank you!!!
