Don't go to this Dr.

I have found the doctor that I respect.

I was transferred to Dr. Couture when my doctor died. He was the best listener. This Dr does not care and she doesn't want to be bothered. She wants you to come in to change medication when you have discussed it already at an office visit. You can call her nurse at 9:00 am to discuss something that needs to be handled before the weekend and she won't return your call till 5:00 so she can't talk with the dr and then You have to wait till Monday. She is not sure of herself either. She doesn't know which tests should be ordered which means you have to wait even longer to get the right test approved by insurance. I hope I can find someone else soon.

Worst "doctor" ever. When I called the office, Dr. Couture was always "out" and the receptionists refused to contact her, even though it was business hours, on multiple days. She refused to renew prescriptions, demanding very expensive tests. I don't need an MRI and blood work for antibiotics. She was a ghost, and I just needed a prescription refilled, there was no emergency. When I went to the emergency room and paid a large deductible, I was told that Dr. Couture had to renew the prescription. Waste of time and money. Changing insurance because Albuquerque Health Partners if not real insurance, just a joke. The urgent care offices are super ghetto, worse than UNMH. Awful.
