Dr. Holly Michelle Gilbert, MD

Dr. Gilbert failed to diagnose me correctly, but I’m actually more concerned with her billing practices, which are predatory and vindictive. On top of putting me in collections (during Covid, no less) for an amount I didn’t owe her, she actually withheld my medical records from my other doctors pending payment from my insurance company, less than 48 hours after my appointment. Is that even legal? As an aside, she also resorted to the sexist argument that my anxiety wasn’t helping my condition, as I tried fruitlessly to explain to her that my “anxiety” was a symptom of whatever condition I had. Turns out, while Dr. Gilbert’s sexism blinded her from making an accurate diagnosis, I was correct: I had upper cervical ligament damage, which was affecting both my sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems, as well as compressing my brainstem—if that won’t make a person anxious I don’t know what will!

She is absolutely amazing. Very patient and attentive. Once she gets to know you, she knows you better than yourself. Will always return your call immediately. And truly cares about her patients.

hard to book for emergency

My gf suggested I see Dr.Gilbert (for a full check up). Unlike most doctors in the city she actually listens and doesn't shoo you away. She's sincere, direct and most importantly knowledgable.
