Dr. Holly Ann Lowther, MD

I had a long wait for Dr.Lowther, but I feel confident I made the right decision. I have had only one visit so far with her, but she seems really knowledgeable along with being very kind and compassionate. I really believe I am in the best hands and she will be able to help me.

Excellent couldn’t explain I refer to Dr Lowther as my Angel and it doesn’t get any better than that!

Dr. Lowther is an intuitive, well educated, experienced doctor who is compassionate and respects her patients. She has the gift of 'Listening' to her pts. As you are describing your weekly BBQ, she is listening, catching it when you say "It was great fun, but it was so sunny that I had to stay under the porch roof, most of the time, so that I didn't get sick." and comments on the bbq and then, as she is gently (GENTLY) doing ROM with your hand, she might say "so, how does being in the sun make you feel?' and start following up on something that another doctor most likely would have missed- she asks direct questions, as well. Listens to your answers and is thinking all of the time- she answers her emails- and she worries with you, when things are bad- then celebrates with you, when your team (You, Dr Lowther, your PMC, etc) pull it together and get a win. Dr. Lowther is one of the most gentle doctors I've ever seen, sweet, kind, knowledgeable and is surrounded by staff that is the… same- I waited three months to get in with her and drive an hour to do so-it is a gift!

When facing a long wait to see a rheumatologist (3 months) I took a chance at “same day” scheduling and thought I’d be put into a 20 min time slot for the convenience of being able to see someone the day-of, but boy was I wrong. Dr. Lowther took an hour + to go through each little detail of my medial history and discuss everything that has been going on, while explaining her thoughts on what could be the issue. From being bounced around doctors like a ping pong ball, she offered what I’ve been searching for; someone who is not in a hurry, takes the time to explain things and genuinely wants to help you feel better. I highly recommend her.

I was a patient of Dr. Koumpouras for years. I said I would never see another rheumatologist. Unfortunately his moving on changed that for me. I didn't think I would be satisfied with another doctor after getting such great care from Dr. Koumpouras. I was wrong! Dr. Lowther is knowledgeable, caring, efficient and personable ! I feel I am in good hands and she has helped me tremendously! I'm feeling the best I have in years. She researches problems and follows up better than my other doctors! I would highly recommend her!

She helps you make decisions about how best to manage your own health care by giving treatment options that she explains and which make sense. Never late or rushed to get through your appointment so I know she is taking time to really hear me and know me.

I have been seeing Dr. Lowther for about 7 years. I was very hard to get my diseases under control but Dr. Lowther stuck with me and finally got me under control. I tried another Dr. as we moved but after a year I went back to her as she is the only one that really helped me and stuck with me. She is very patient and one of the smartest doctors that I know. She takes time with me and has tissues because I shed a lot of tears in her office. She even takes the time to call me herself with the results of my tests. I mean who does that in this day in age?

Outstanding doctor. Staff are a little challenging, but doctor makes it worth it.

I've been seeing Dr. Lowther for a few years and can honestly say that she is the kindest, most caring doctor I've ever had. She takes her time with me and explains everything in detail. I feel she genuinely cares about my health and well being. I can't imagine a better rheumatologist out there!
