Dr. Holly Josephine Maggiano, MD

Extremely caring . Five stars .

The receptionist there has absolutely no idea how prescriptions and setting up appointments works. I am in shock, I feel like I just got off the phone with a 5 year old. I was trying to get a refill for a medication for seizures and essentially they were surprised that I wanted to get the medication in advance before running out. I was there less than 6 months ago and all she cared to do was set up another appointment. She could care less that my prescriptions were filled correctly. Wow. The doctor is great, the receptionist is a dolt.

I have been seeing dr. Maggiano for over 20 years now. I consider her as family she is a kind-hearted person who cares about you. She is also started a great organization call Earth Angel Farm. It's to help folks such as myself that has epilepsy and ect.she is a great doctor and her staff is great.

I must agree with all of the other comments. I plan to print this out and give it to Dr. Maggiano at my next visit. It is really a shame that people who are dealing with health issues have to deal with these kinds of people on the phones at doctor's offices. The receptionist in NO WAY reflects the kind and compassionate care offered by the doctor herself.

Dr. Maggiano is an excellent, caring and thorough doctor who takes the time to really listen. If something isn't working, she tries something else. I feel "heard" in her office. Her receptionist, however, is not friendly nor is she helpful. I am afraid at times to call and ask a question. As kind as Dr. Maggiano is, I think her receptionist should reflect that attitude. This is the only negative about my office experiences, and I have been seeing Dr. Maggiano for five years.

Dr. Maggiano is a great doctor. She is very thorough. Very compassionate. The only problem is that when she sends you for tests, her very friendly, NOT, person who answers the phone won't tell you if you need an appointment, to call her back or if she'll call you back to get your test results. Weeks later I am still trying to get my test results and the girl that answers the phone is as friendly as a starving pit bull.

Dr. maggiano is a very skilled and compassionate doctor. She is very accessible and goes out of her way for her patients. She is not only interested in you as her patient but also in your overall life, which also helps her to more accurate in your diagnosis and treatment. I would recommend her highly.
