Dr Holly B Mutton, D.O. is a native of the Buffalo area and grew up in the City of Tonawanda. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in the Applied Media Arts in 1988 from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and worked in the field of Graphics and Advertising until enrolling in medical school. Dr Mutton graduated from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Long Island NY in May 2002. She completed one year of a Pediatric Residency at The Women and Children's Hospital in Buffalo NY in June 2003. Dr Mutton then transferred in July 2003 into the General Psychiatry Residency through the University at Buffalo Medical School where she graduated in December 2005. In January 2006 Dr Mutton began her Fellowship in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and graduated from the program in December 2007. Through both her Residencies and Fellowship Dr Mutton served as an Assistant Clinical Professor with the University at Buffalo Medical School.

In July 2004 she was presented with the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism & Excellence in Teaching Award in recognition of outstanding Residents who serve as role models of ethical behavior, display compassion in both teaching and clinical care, demonstrate cultural sensitivity and excel in mentoring medical students. For July 2004-2005 Dr Mutton received the Resident Service Award for recognition of Outstanding Service to the Psychiatry Residency Program. Dr Mutton has been an attending Psychiatrist at Erie County Medical Center in the Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Room where she supervised psychiatric residents, medical students, and physician assistants and evaluated patients for psychiatric admission or mental health linkage within the community. Dr Mutton was also an inpatient Child Psychiatrist at the Western New York Children's Psychiatric Center in West Seneca before joining Suburban Psychiatric Associates in June 2008 where she specializes in psychopharmacology for children and adolescents, but she also works with the adult population as well. Dr Mutton is a member of the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, the American Psychiatric Association, the American Osteopathic Association and the Western New York Osteopathic Medical Society.
