Dr. Holly Ann Sternberg, MD

I saw Dr. Stern berg for years, only ever for yearly exams. Two years ago I visited the ER with extreme pain in my lower left abdomin. The ER Doctor was unable to locate the source of the pain and said to follow up with my GYN. I saw Dr. Stern burg about the pain. She performed an ultrasound and could not find the cause, saying it was not gynecological in nature. I continued to have the pain to told her so 6 months later during my annual exam. She again insisted that it was not gynecological. I decided to find a new doctor. She performed a diagnostic surgery today and found the my left ovary was attached to my colon. She detached it and told me if the pain continues the she will remove the ovary. I'm glad I got a second opinion. Dr. Sternburg is great if all you need is a yearly pap.

I love Dr. Sternberg!!! I have seen her for the last 10 years. I have seen her for regular annual checkups. I married and had trouble conceiving. She discovered that I had a cyst. She performed the surgery to remove it without any complications and I conceived in two months! She delivered my first baby with a c-section because the cord was around our baby's neck. I am now pregnant with my second child and I have since moved. I will now be traveling 45 minutes to see her through this pregnancy. The only complaint I have is the wait time for an appointment. BUT, if you have an emergency the nurse will schedule an appointment ASAP. Dr. Sternberg is so friendly and caring!

The service at this place is sub par. When I tried to schedule an appointment with Dr. Holly Sternberg, I was told by staff that there would be a one month wait, so I waited. A week before my scheduled appointed I called to confirm the time and date only to be told by an uninterested phone assistant (staff member) there was no record of my appointment; she told me to try another location then she hung up, so I called Piedmont to see if there was another contact number for Dr. Sternberg. They gave me the number to this place. After calling this place again, as luck would have it, I got the same poor excuse of an "assistant" or whatever her job title may be. In her words: "Look, I checked. You're not in the system. You're just going to have to reschedule." Without any apologies or any attempts to figure out what could have possibly happened on their end, she transferred me; at that point, I hung up. If these people can't professionally handle scheduling appointments and provide some… semblance of adequate service, I shudder to think what the patient experience is like. I wish I could rate Dr. Sternberg because I was really looking forward to my visit with her. Note: My rating of one is not of this doctor it is of the staff experience.

Dr. Sternberg is very professional and extremely helpful. She is very thorough and takes time to answer all of your questions; however, if you are in a hurry, she works to help you finish the appointment quickly. I have been seeing her for 2 years now and have had great experiences both years.
