Best surgeon ever

I was a Patient of Dr. Akbari's several years ago. Mine was not a usual case due to a somewhat rare skin condition called Ehlers Danlos. Under his care, I had rectal surgery and a colonoscopy. I wish I knew where he was since I believe the majority of Doctors would mess this up. After having 2 surgeries - not colon related, here in Rhode Island both repeated, I would not trust anyone but Dr. Akbari with even a colonoscopy let alone a few stitches..... Anyways, thanks to Dr. Akbari, his work has proven invaluable to the highest degree.

he is the BEST!

This doctor is rude and insensitive to the emotional state of his patients. I was in tears after receiving life altering news and I was told by this doctor to basically get over it and make a decision. He has no patience. He wanted me to make a snap decision about surgery. This is not a good doctor nor is MCV patient centered anymore. The wait is about 3 hours. This makes it difficult when feeling so ill.

Dr. Akbari is the finest colo-rectal surgeon anywhere. His bedside manner is the best I have ever experienced, he put me at ease despite the awkward nature of the exam. He is also brilliant and down to earth, a rare find. His skilled hands have cured my problem with no untoward effects.
