Dr. Hong Xu, MD

I saw Dr. Xu with my mother who has a variety of rare disease symptoms. Although they turned out not to be auto-immune, Dr. Xu was incredibly knowledgeable and seemed genuinely concerned about finding the issue. She was very responsive to my questions and calls. She ended up referring us to a specialized neurologist who turned out to be the right person to diagnose the issues. Highly recommended.

Dr. Xu saved my life (perhaps not literally but I was in such pain that I would have given anything to be freed from my misery).

I’ve been seeing Dr. Xu for a decade now. Dr. Xu is compassionate, as well as extremely knowledgeable. She has worked with me to have a better quality of life. I feel fortunate to have been referred to Dr. Xu.

I was running late to dr Xu’s initial appointment due to being at another doctors this morning and my other doctor running behind. I had called Dr Xu’s office to let her know. When I arrived, Dr Xu’s front desk stated that she would not see me because I was late, that dr Xu did receive my message and that she would be running behind on her schedule if she saw me. I will be looking for another rheumatologist. Very poor work ethics, knowing that a patient is in her office and she refused to see them!

I have been to many Doctors trying to figure out what was wrong. After many years of suffering in pain, taking different medications, doing different therapies and having different diagnosis' she pin pointed the problem within minutes and has me on the right plan. Within a few days to a week I started feeling better and have my life back. She took her time to examine me, ask questions, explain and follow up. I highly recommend her to anyone who needs a good RA doctor. The office staff is always very friendly and helpful.

I saw this doctor in the beginning of August. She drew blood for $3,000 worth of tests. I called four times before I finally got someone to get back to me. They were instructed to tell me that the tests were "OK" except for one and to make an appointment in November. If I'm spending that kind of money for blood labs, I really need more of an answer than that. That being said, at the office visit, she was very thorough, if only based on the amount of blood tests she ran. I am now requesting that the office provide me with copies of the test results. As it stands right now, I don't even know what tests were ordered and performed

I have been suffering Psoriatic Arthritis for more than 15 years and had many doctor's visits. However, I was always afraid of strong medications might cause more harm. After she detailed explained the benefit and possible side effect, I finally started Humira, she gave me 2 dose of sample to go home with which I used one the same night.The next morning I felt differently when I went to bathroom, I was puzzled for a few minutes, then I realized, I had no pain in my ankles, I can walk pain free! I am so happy...

Dr. Xu is a wonderful caring doctor whowill take as much time as you need andwants to help you to be as pain free aspossible. Love her!

Dr.Xu was compassionate,knowledgable and clear describing my condition and my prescription instrudcions. In less than 24 hours from my first visit with her I went from a 10 in pain to almost 0 the very next day. I am more than pleased. She has my trust.

Not too insecure to provide care - but also not too proud or arrogant to refer for 2nd and 3rd opinions to be safe.
