Dr. Hong Yu, MD

Has a hot temper and verbally explodes when challenged. Unkind and not therapeutic in her dealings with clients. Easily gets hostile and raises her voice. Not professional or sympathetic to the suffering of others. She literally screamed at my daughter and said " you have nothing except for your mental illness." The nurses who heard her said that she should not have said that. Those with mental health issues are not listened to or considered credible. Now my daughter has post traumatic stress from her dealings either Dr. YU. May get a lawyer and bring a suit against her for malpractice.

Dr. Hong Yu is honestly the best doctor I have ever encountered. She is the most wonderful person ever. Strongly recommend seeing her. #1 choice of psychiatrist.

After 2 other doctors discharged my adult son when he was not stable (back the next day), one of which refused to meet with us, Dr Yu sat down and listened to us. She is determined to get my son to a stable condition before discharge despite his relentless focus on leaving the hospital. She is matter of fact and direct when he demands discharge and tells him "you are not ready". I find her more than willing to work with and listen to family and staff.

This doctor saw my son for less than 5 minutes in ten days discharged him from the hospital with a diagnosis that stops him from getting help from anyone. Please save your child do not let her care for them. I called and spoke a total of less than 5 minutes.in 10 days .
