Dr. Hooman Roshan Kashani, DO

My husband had not seen a doctor in almost seven years, and after a single visit with Dr. Kashani I imagine it will be another seven before I can get him to see someone else. The wait time in the office was short. My husband arrived 45 minutes early, filled out paperwork, and saw the doctor almost immediately. Our insurance requires us to earn "points" in order to secure a lower premium. One of the ways that we earn points is by having certain preventative tests run. In this instance, my husband was going to have his A1C tested. Dr. Kashani had never seen my husband, had no previous bloodwork or medical records, and he decided to diagnose him with diabetes despite having no symptoms. Full disclosure: My husband is a little overweight, but not morbidly obese. I imagine that this is what he used to make his "diagnosis." He then proceeded to talk to him in a very condescending manner. He made my husband feel embarrased to be in his presence, and made him uncomfortable to the… point where he felt that he couldn't tell the doctor about any of his concerns. Dr. Kashani gave him a lecture - not advice, a straight up lecture - about losing weight, getting exercise, etc. All of this would have been helpful had he not spoken to a grown man as though he were a child. Throughout the short appointment he checked his watch multiple times. Dr. Kashani then told him that he could call back to the office in a few days for test results, but if they didn't have them in by then he'd have to wait awhile because he was going on vacation. I see several doctors myself and ALL of them call ME back with test results or they have their nurses contact me. I've never had to wait weeks for routine bloodwork. My husband is 32 years old. He believes that he is invincible and since he doesn't feel "sick" it is very hard to get him to take his health seriously. I want him to see a doctor for regular preventative care just in case something happens. This doctor's bedside manner awful and made him want to give up on seeking healthcare. That is the most unacceptable thing I can imagine: A doctor that alienates a patient so much that the patient chooses to ignore his health in favor of not being humiliated. Do not visit this doctor. Do not waste your time. There are PLENTY of other doctors in the valley and in Los Angeles, and no one else needs to be treated this way.

Such a great doctor and so caring. Can't ask for more.

My regular doctor was out of town, and Dr. Kashani took over his office/practice while my doctor was gone.He made me come in for an office visit in order to refill a prescription and charged me $93 for three minutes of his time plus the privilege of taking time off from work to make a useless visit to the office. $93 is certainly more than the Blue Shield contracted rate and far more than I pay my wonderful regular doctor for office visits. My own doc. doesn't even accept Blue Shield and yet charges me less. Dr. Kashani asked if there was "anything else" he could do for me while I was there; so I mentioned a problem I'd been having. It was obvious from his expression and what he said that he thought that the problem wasn't really a physical one, but more likely something I'd created in my mind. I smiled politely and thanked him, but you can imagine what I was thinking.Along with the invoice came a nasty letter, saying they were turning my account over to collections even though… this was the first invoice I'd ever received from them.When I tried to call Dr. Kashani's office to inquire about the invoice and nasty letter, the woman that answered the phone insisted that they're billing person was out and that there was no one that could help me.

Patient has been under his care for two weeks, has been MIA for the past 10 days. Lacks compassion, poor communicator, avoids family members and discussing end of life issues. Hospital staff agrees he's totally inaccessible. During pre-op visit was rude and inappropriate, poor bedside manner, answered personal phone calls while should have been tending to patient. Left abruptly and never returned. Avoid if at all possible!

Dr. Kashani has been my Nefrologist since 2007 and has been the most amazing doctor I've ever had. He's caring, compassionate and professional. I go to him for everything because he know more about my medical history than anyone.

he is sooo caring and understanding. he cares for my mother and normally i worry about her health all the time but i don't have to anymore because he does it for me ha ha ha. He is always on call for his patients and really does try and make you feel better. i would recommend him to anyone who wants someone who is going to treat them like a human and not a number in a book.

HE IS VERY RESPONSABLE WITH HIS WORK AND TAKES GOOD CARE OF HIS PATIENTS I WILL HIGHLY RECOMEND HIM AS A PROFESSIONAL.
