Dr. Hooman Soltanian

I saw this doctor in 2011 for bilateral breast reconstruction. I needed to include his contact info on a form so I did an internet search and I was surprised to see that his overall rating wasn’t higher. Having had such a positive experience I felt compelled to comment. I found Dr. Soltanian to be very thorough in explaining my options and very supportive of my choice of reconstruction. After my bilateral mastectomy surgery with immediate expanders, all of the post operative appointments were with him. I don’t think I ever saw my breast cancer surgeon again. Dr. Soltanian took all of my concerns seriously and I never felt rushed at the appointments. He came across as very empathetic. I was very pleased with the outcome of my reconstruction. My breasts were surprisingly symmetrical, well situated and had very inconspicuous scars. When I would see other doctors (pcp, dermatologist, etc.) they would all ask who did my surgery as they were also impressed with the outcome. The… only negative for me in having Dr. Soltanian as my doctor was having to deal with his assistant Denise. If I could rate her I’d give her negative 5 stars. I hope that Dr. Soltanian did not bring her with him when he moved out of state.

I had a DIEP flap breast reconstruction done by Dr. Soltanian with a terrible result. I have had to seek the opinions of several other plastic surgeons to have it fixed. I wish I would have done my homework before going to him. He placed the "flap" under my chest muscles where I had a tissue expander previous. So now when my muscles flex, it showed and smashes my breasts. My breasts also look flat and abnormal because of the tightness of the muscle. He told me that there is nothing more that he can do. I just want to warn all of the women out there to avoid him. I am completely botched!!

After a poor outcome, dr soltanian made it seem like I’m unreasonable with my expectations and have a great result. Other drs saw what I was unhappy with and have since had it corrected.

My experience was life changing and I had to go to another surgeon for revisions and corrections. I went in for a DIEP (breast reconstruction) and came out with a Pedical Tram. The ego and inexperience of this type of microsurgery along with his assistant's (at the time - Denise) arrogance and meanness were unbelievable. Go to someone who has done thousands of the DIEP's. If having breast cancer wasn't bad enough, I had to deal with a surgery that didn't work. My mistake was not doing my homework in every regard to him, his staff (Denise) and the procedure.

Dr Soltanian is amazing.I had a panniculectomy with him. Totally professional. Amazing staff. Caring , honest doctor.

Bad experience with this surgeon. My life has completely changed because of the negligence of this surgeon with his lack of experience.

Dr. Soltanian is great. Although I'm unsure of my results at this point, he's kind, patient, and will spend all the time with you that you need. I didn't ask many questions but he still took the time to explain everything to me. He's very down to earth and puts you at ease. Highly ethical too and always looking out for what's best for the patient.

Dr. shows caring, intellegence, sense of humor. Puts patients at ease during visits. All the nurses at the hospital love working with him. I'm so glad I choose him as my surgeon.

It is so refreshing to finally see what excellence in medicine looks like. Dr. Hooman soltanian is the embodiment of excellence in medicine. His high intelligence is balanced by his humanity and that is what is usually lacking in other doctors. Having gone through breast cancer and reconstructive surgery is a huge scary nightmare but I can honestly say that after meeting with Dr. Soltanian the first time, I was put at ease and I went into surgery knowing that I was in the best hands possible. To add the icing on the cake, Dr. Soltanian's postsurgical care was the epitome of what bedside manner should be taught to all academians. Past experience left me feeling like another patient a tired doctor has to check on before he can go home. My experience with Dr. Soltanian was a completely positive and encouraging experience. He has been blessed with a gift of nurturing that puts you at ease and I actually felt like he cared. His sense of humor helped me forget my pain and his… follow-up visits like visiting family. His staff is equally professional and kind. Dr. Hooman Soltanian enbodies Professionalism and kindness and I felt the compassion at every visit. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Hooman Soltanian to anyone in need of excellent medical care as well a kind human being to actually care about them.
