Dr. Hope Marsha Gruber, MD

Dr Gruber has great skill and intelligence treatand cares. I am confident she is operating in my best interest. Gave me a sample of some expensive steriod to treat my condition. She is Very good.

I scheduled the first appointment of the day for a follow up visit. I was promised that I would be the first patient visit for that day. I got to the office 15 minutes early and was the only person in the waiting room. I was taken to an exam room and told to disrobe and put on a flimsy robe. The room was very cold & I waited patiently for 45+ minutes. During my wait. Dr. Gruber stood in the hallway outside my door. I could clearly hear her on a personal phone call discussing her upcoming vacation. She walked away and saw another patient. I dressed and was walking out when she ran down the hall and asked where I was going. I told her why I was leaving and blasted her for being so unprofessional. She mailed a card apologizing for her behavior & asked me to come back for another visit. I scheduled another visit and explained that I would not tolerate any further unprofessional behavior. Dr. Gruber has not made me wait again for an appointment.

Dr. Gruber does not spend any time with you. It could not be clearer that she works for quantity, not quality. Over the past several yearly check-ups, she has mis-diagnosed or ignored a problem I have. I finally found it myself by accident, and have treated it successfully. She tends to over-prescribe medicines, and they tend to be very expensive. That is probably not her fault, however. If you have questions, she answers them to the best of her ability. I used to receive written notes from her assistant upon leaving, which I really loved. The last time or two I've gone, there has been no note going over the diagnoses and treatment.

Obviously this doctor has more to do than care about what patients are concerned about. A real self absorbed atmosphere.
