Dr. Hope K Short, MD

When it comes to kids, keep her away from yours. When she found out my daughter was S X active (unbeknownst to me, as she confided in Hope), my daughter needed a biopsy during an annual female visit (15 years old) Hope took the tissue without any numbing agent and not gently) My daughter came out to the car with tears running down her face, still bleeding (given no pad or tissue and sent on her way).... She made my daughter believe that was what she deserved. I was horrified and spent a lot of money on therapy afterwards.

She needs to be closed down. It has been a nightmare dealing with her and her whole staff. She does not care about her patients. They treat you wrong then lie and cover it up. Do yourself a favor and go see a real Doctor.

Dr. Short has created a practice of giving patients quality care in a customer service environment. This combination means a real person answers the phone, you see the doctor at your scheduled time and the entire staff are attentive to your needs during your visit. I even had a need to use the after hours doctor on call, and only had a 5 minute wait time before I received a call back. Plus, I received a call the next day from Dr. Short's office making sure everything was alright. I would recommend Dr. Short and her staff to anyone desiring good customer service combined with quality medical care.

Not only is she a caring/compassionate physician, her staff is top notch. Geri Ann is amazing as well. Take my word for it, they haven't seen a really rude Dr. before. I have, and she's not it!!!!!!

My children and I are patients of Dr. Short. I have found her to be kind, attentive and thorough. Staff goes through changes it seems, but always efficient and polite. I have recommended Dr Short to my friends over the years. She is a good GP.

After reading the other reviews, I think they must be talking about a different doctor than the Dr. Short that I have been seeing. Dr. Short has always been very friendly, courteous and concerned about my well being. I never have to wait very long for my appointment. I would recommend her highly to anyone. Her staff is always very courteous and helpful to me.

I agree with many of the other rater's comments. Doctor Short was one of the worst doctors I've ever been to. My appointment was at 9:30. I arrived 10 minutes early only to wait for another 50 minutes before I was called back to see the doctor! My nurse was decent but once doctor Short came in everything went downhill. She told me that I needed to exercise (which was not even close to the reason for my appointment) and when I told her I had insomnia and had trouble sleeping, she very condescendingly said "well what are you doing up all night, watching TV and playing on the computer, you need to go to sleep!" Seriously??? After a number of other rude comments, I got so irritated that I started crying and she begrudginly gave me a box of tissue and said (with her back to me as she was writing something down) "what did say to make you start crying?" It was the worst experience I've ever had with ANY doctor. Please do yourself and favor and find another doctor!

This Doctor is very rude! She will not see you for more than one thing in a visit. She is very snooty and self righteous. She will preach to you about the Lord while she is treating you as a lower class citizen. I do not think that says much for her character if she is treating people this way while claiming to be a Christian woman. "New" staff is rude. Not suprisingly because several of them are related to her.
