She should not be in practice. She is a disgrace to the medical profession.

A very poor excuse for a physician. Lazy, dishonest, and rude. Incompetent in every possible way. Makes me weep for the medical profession as a whole.

Would not want this lady treating me or my family ever again. Can't imagine which institution would give her a medical diploma.

I had a relatively straightforward problem (a dislocated shoulder) which any ER doctor can fix. Dr. Luna-Gonzales, unfortunately, chose not to fix me until she had thoroughly chewed out a defenseless nurse. The nurse had brought two vials - instead of one - of the medicine I was supposed to receive, and Dr. Luna-Gonzales was furious. The nurse gave me the correct dose (one vial), but the nurse had brought extra in case one vial wasn't enough. Dr. Luna-Gonzales screamed at the nurse, "Do you know how much that medicine costs? You owe me $150! I'm going to take it out of your paycheck! I should fire you right now." The nurse was nearly in tears, and I wanted to speak up to defend her (it was an honest mistake, she didn't put anyone in danger), but all I could do was moan in pain. Dr. Luna-Gonzales showed no concern whatsoever for my ongoing pain. She was too interested in giving that nurse the stinkeye and berating her. After a 5 to 10 minute tirade against the… nurse, the doctor finally gave me the medicine. Then she was unable to re-locate my shoulder. She tried three or four times. I don't know if she was too weak or just bad at doctoring, but she couldn't do it. She wound up calling an ambulance and transferring me to another ER, where the doctor popped in the shoulder in literally 2 minutes. So, you can see why I gave her low marks.

I won't lie to you. I had my doubts about whether this person was really a medical doctor. She seemed confused. About everything. Worse than that, she was incredibly rude and condescending with my elderly mother. My mother is 87 but she gets around on her own, takes care of her dog, drives herself everywhere. Dr. Luna-Gonzales told me within earshot of my mother that she needs to be in a nursing home. Keep in mind that I was the patient and my mother was just sitting there with me. Dr. Luna-Gonzales not only had poor bedside manner, she also didn't know what she was doing on the medical side of things. She couldn't decide whether I needed an x-ray or not. Then she told me that *I* should decide whether I needed one. You're the doctor!!! You should know whether I need an x-ray or not. I decided to get an x-ray. It took almost two hours for the x-ray person to show up and do it. Then it took another hour for the doctor to look at the x-ray and tell me what it meant. … By that time, I had no confidence in her ability to make a cup of coffee, much less read a complicated x-ray. Dr. Gonzales does not have what it takes to be a doctor.

Never see this doctor if you value your life. Dr. Luna Gonzales is apparently the only person working at River Oaks Emergency Center in Houston. She registered me at the reception desk, took my vital signs, gave me the (wrong) medicines, and took me out the door in a wheelchair. Does no one else work in that ER? No nurses, no receptionsists? When I asked her where everyone was, she started yelling at me. "People are on vacation!" There is nobody to cover for them while they're gone? Apart from all that, the ER experience was creepy. After Dr. Luna-Gonzales left the room, my wife found her asleep at a desk in the main ER area. My wife had to wake her up to ask what would happen next. All in all, a terrible experience. Dr. Luna Gonzales made the wrong diagnosis, and I had to have emergency surgery later that night.
