Dr. Hossam Bahgat Elzawawy, MD

I would not recommend this provider to any loved one as he does not value his patients. He was over an hour late, dismissive and rude. Was supposedly 20 minutes behind schedule and once he arrived for my consult over 1 hour late, he did not have the courtesy to listen to my goals or concerns as a patient, look at any labwork that I brought to the appointment and basically undermined one of his own colleagues who ordered me to see a rheumatolgist. Terrible waste of my time and left utterly offended by his lack of bedside manner. I've never received such terrible service from a medical professional. I would give zero stars if the review allowed, he doesn't even deserve one.

I have known and been a patient of Dr. Elzawawy’s for many years. He along with other excellent doctors at Cleveland Clinic in Weston , FL has seen me through a serious illness. I have found This good doctor to be not only knowledgeable, but, also caring. Having had a great deal of involvement under his care, I trust him to make studied decisions concerning my health.I would never fail to recommend him to friends and family in need of his specialty.

I believe in being active in my healthcare so I read and research as much as possible. This guy was very nonchalant about explaining my test results and was very condescending. He seemed reluctant to share information - I'm sick, not stupid! He's average at best and has no reason to be arrogant. He doesn't understand that he works for you, not the other way around. Even so, I wouldn't treat employees with disdain. As word gets out about him, Cleveland Clinic should ditch this guy.

i have to say i love Cleveland clinic and the way they work and how fast they are but this doctor very much disappointed me i was recently admitted to the hospital due to my immune disease the hospital tried to get in contact with my RA doctor and he refused to speak with the doctor from the hospital because i was not at a hospital that he works at !!!!! mind you i been his patient for almost two years now a paitent of his is admitted to the hospital due to a disease that he is treating but refuses to help because it is not his hospital.... i will never go back to this doctor nor recommend anyone to him! he also is very quick with his appointments doesn't really care for his patients or anything tells you to do blood work and go about your day.

I have seen several rheumatologists and other specialists - either because of insurance change or second and third opinions. I never disliked any of them. One thing I can honestly say is that I "disliked" Dr. Elzawawy. His initial introduction was rude and unprofessional. I let him know that I was not happy.

I can not find data to back up what he said. He was rude, appeared hostile & was condense ding. He didn't think I was worth the cost of my medications as its costly & others need it & it's in short supply.

He was very rude to me. I won't be going back to Dr Elzaway.

Excellent bedside manners. I wish he can spend more time with me. But all in all; NO complaints.

I wouldn't change to any other rheumatologist. He always return my calls or his nurse within 24 hours. He offered me same day appointment when my knee was swollen. He cares. That's what matters.
