Dr. Howard Frank Abrams, MD

Extremely bright. Great sense of humor. Doesn't sugar coat the message. Gives all of the information necessary for the patient to make decisions. Genuinely cares about his patients. Very professional. Focuses on what's important. Not afraid to refer to a colleague with more expertise in a specific area - keeping the patient's needs as the highest priority.

I've been seeing Dr. Abrams for about 20 years and he has always been straight forward and direct and focused on my health. This has been for good news and bad. He has always provided treatment options and the risks and rewards associated. As new technology has evolved, Dr. Abrams has been proactive to recommend new treatments and encouraged patient education on techniques and procedures. In this day of limited time with a doctor, Dr. Abrams makes the most of that time. Some may not like his direct approach but I prefer to get the facts. I heartily recommend Dr. Abrams to my friends and family.The only drawback is that the office staff (non-medical) are a PITA.

Dr. Abrams has treated me for atrial fibrillation for over 15 years and has taken excellent care of me. He is attentive, listens well, explains things well, and is a pleasant and nice doctor. He is a very competent cardiologist. My condition is chronic but under control and does not affect my daily life. He monitors me regularly, every 4 months, to ensure my health remains good.
