Dr. Howard Andrew Adler, MD

I took my elderly mother to see Dr. Adler. He spent a lot of time with us and answered all of my questions. He broke down everything so I could understand it. We came up with a plan for my mother and she is doing well with the Chemo. He answers phone calls in the evening and the weekend. He is very busy and no doubt because he cares so deeply for his patients. Highly recommend.

Once a care plan was agreed to, my mother started her treatment. She is doing well with the chemo. All follow up appointments are a pleasure. Hi Nurse Practioner is also very nice. He also returns phone calls even if late or on the weekend. He is super busy, proving what a caring physician he is.

I had a terrible experience with Dr Adler. I wasn’t feeling well and i needed to speak with him. I called his office and the rep told me he is too busy to speak to me. The problem is he has too many patients and he can’t keep track of them. He doesn’t know his patients and doesn’t seem to care. No compassion at all for his cancer patients!!

Dr. Adler is by far the sharpest doctor I've come across in Florida. Razor sharp. I grew up with a number of "old school" doctors in the family and I'm accustomed to excellence and all that includes (e.g. really knowing the subject, compassion, taking time, endless curiosity). At the same time, it is so hard to find in today's doctors. It's refreshing to see the same qualities in Dr. Adler. That said, some of the administrative staff needs work.

This doctor gave my 58 yr old sister very high dose chemo and then went on vacation. When she had problems she was sent to the emergency room where she was admitted to Hosp. Over the next few days no one from his office followed up on her and she got much worse, was sent to icu and 2 days later one of his partners showed up. At this time my sister had been on life support for 2 days!!! Almost 2 WEEKS later when he came back from vacation this so called doctor didn't even bother to come to see my sister in the icu. Believe it or not he called on the phone to tell her husband there was nothing to be done for my sister and he should just give up!!! Also my entire family had flown from Europe and he was told this twice, my 80 year old Mother had to hear him speak that way about her daughter and he then DEMANDED to be taken off speaker phone. He couldn't be bothered to come to the hospital in person and his dismissive rudeness was horrendous. I quoted his partner who initially told me there… had been a "huge" response to my sisters last chemo and that she could definitely get better" and he cut me off saying it was " certainly not huge" it was just "nice"!! My 58 year old sister died a few days later and I believe if she had seen a different doctor she would at very least not have died in so much pain due to lack of coordinated, competent medical care and appropriate follow up! This guy is a disgrace to the entire medical community.

After waiting many weeks to see him I expected more. The biggest problem was he did not appear to be the least bit concerned for my condition. Not a great experience at all.

Very impressed with himself . Did I understand a word he said ? Not what I had expected at all .

Amazing dr! Spent time talking to me explaining what was going on very caring MD a rare find! Highly recommend!
